I’m so glad yugi explained what pot of greed does as it’s been a while and of course given how complex and difficult pot of greed is to use I need a refresher lmao

@@brickbanditstudios6037 Kinda like in real world mythologies certain gods try to outdo the other. Slifer and Obelisk are trying to take 2nd Place because Ra is on whole different level.

It was over. Kaiba had spell card active that allowed them to activate spell cards on the opponents turn in this duel.

@doctorwhouse3881 No Kaiba had played Spell Sanctuary. A continuous spell card that allowed both players to activate spell cards on their opponent's turn.

fun fact you can use pot of greed as a trap for slifer if you use reckless greed I used it before and it works perfectly with Slifer

in the manga he activated pot of greed at quickplay speed in the middle of the gods attacking each other which was significantly more dramatic lol. i think that's also the only time pot of greed is ever played in the manga

I wished yugi also had graceful charity. With both cards and if graceful charity didn’t have the discard two cards effect. Yugi could have drawn a total of five cards from deck and would have had seven cards in hand. Giving slifer an attack strength of 7000 points.

Was a bluff earlier in the duel, trying to bait Kaiba into attacking Slifer with his XYZ Dragon Cannon monster by intentionally lowering Slifer’s points to 2k. Unfortunately Kaiba didn’t take the bait.

@@LegendPurpleDragon152 Also during the tournament, you can actually use set spell cards during your opponent's turn, so in this scenario given Slifer is one of few monsters that gains strength from how many cards in hands Pot of Greed serves a use as a trap card essentially should the opponent attack. Reckless Greed without the drawback.
