I cut pyro Phoenix cuz I saw lots of deck profiles from players who topped ycs that don't run it. I ended up missing it a lot. Turns out searchable raigeki and feather duster is pretty good.

Finally someone Toping with Pyro Phonenix. If used correctly card's is so, so, great, I don't get why people reject it. I don't go to tournaments because there ain't big YGO community in my country and in this part of Eastern Europe in general so I play online on Nexus everyday. And for some time now I no longer play YGO I play Salamangreats. Trying everything possible to get the right formula. And I find Pyro Phonenix the staple. Like people don't expect it, and they counter your other moves. If you played good first turned, set up some basics on your second turn you can get reincarnated Pyro Phonenix so easily then you whipped your opponent board most of the times and them you can go into Transcode + Jammer combo with Pyro Phonenix and have 11,400 damage clear shoot. Or do anything to OTK your opponent. I would love to see more people exploring this.

It's because of the extra deck space. You are limiting super poly targets, staple rank 4s, maskarena to avramax and many more consistent and optimal plays. With the quickplay, phoenix can be a blowout during the opponent's turn, but if you search it you remove the surprise factor so the opponent wont overcommit. As much i want to include him in my build, i find super poly much more usable (especially with no Phantazmei in deck)

Malao147 I got 5th after swiss and lost in top 16 i was X-1 in 8 rounds. i tested sea archiver and chose to play the fury of fire instead. Sea archiver just added to more summons to get nibiru’d. Imperm and Phantazmy never conflicted.

___ I3ambi double colossus isnt a problem thunder players are scared to do it because of of nibiru and i main deck nibiru. Pyro phoenix is a fire so using stallio u dnt lock urself out of using it. Pyro phoenix nukes the whole firld including spell and traps and update jammer transcode doesnt deal with backrow. Its a salad monster u can reborn with Will of the salamangreat. And its easy to make because u can use only 2 monsters to make it which 2 monster can turn into a pyro phoenix nuke field with hita and if ur opp has a knightmare phoenix in grave. Its just a very versatile card and also the burn damage comes up.

@@minkus6989 That's fair, though id actaully think about running borrelload+a third heatleo. Borrelload still outs cards that cant be destroyed, and if I'm facing down a ton of backrow then summoning heatleo 4 times plays around cards like waking the dragon (which seems to be growing in popularity in backrow decks)

Salamangreat, Draco-Striker, Pure Thunder Dragon. Salamangreat is still playable with 3 structure decks, 3 wolf, and staples. (weaker without the expensive cards, but well above most rogue even then). If you like consistency, graveyard recusion, and some comboes this is great. Draco-Striker (true draco+ sky striker) is a cheap deck which can get away without playing handtraps or floodgates if you want, though it can if desired. (also doesnt play otks, many negates, or crazy huge monsters if you hate all those). The deck just draws a million cards and 1 for 1 pops. I dont think its crazy hard to pick up but definitely has a huge skill ceiling with all its custom comboes. Its very slow. Pure thunder dragon is actually mostly a fusion monster deck and has allot of slots to put whatever traps/floodgates/hand traps you think are best. The core is very cheap and the deck is a good intro to modern comboes. All of these decks are good enough to possibly see some hits on the next list, but none are shuins for hits. They all still have sizable upwards potential for long term viability as well. If you have a specific playstyle you like or a number for your budget maybe Ill have other decks to suggest. Your deck from back in the day could be making a resurgence for all i know. The meta is super diverse right now.

@@baltejpurewal1199 staple link monsters include stuff like borrelload dragon, borrelsword dragon, knightmare pheonix... But for playing salad i mostly meant stuff like ash blossom & joyous spring, effect veiler, d.d. crow, twin twister, cosmic cyclone, possibly some solemns. Generic main deck cards. You can also look at topping lists for the deck youre most interested in to get more ideas for cards to put in it as well

@@baltejpurewal1199 Kozmos... Arent really playable. Though you could treat them like any other rogue deck in the meta right now: play a core of that deck and then play a ton of blowout cards to win the game beneath them. Stuff like super poly, nibiru, evenly matched, summon limit... Along side consistency cards like extravagance can make almost any deck take games here and there. Though this wouldnt be particularly cheap and requires allot of great meta calls to be successful at. Performapals are still banned, but modern pendulum is a great budget teir 2 deck! They are typically a mix of pendulum madicians and endimion. The general goal is to do a massive combo (while getting out a negate before the 5th summon to play around nibiru) to make huge boards with many negates and win the game outright. You dont always feel like you get to play, but this decks has some of the highest highs in the meta. Games also tend to go quick as a bonus.

I play salads with super poly and Chimera and it's honestly pretty chill. If you want you can go staving venom or if the opponent has nothing you go chimera also you discard for cost what can start a combo if you want. I like it but every one has his own play style so yea..

For clarifiaction the card is bad mostly because destruction is bad this format. Looking at the top decks destruction: Orcust- usually ends on an omni negate and most of their resources off the field Salad- Balelynx protect Thunder Dragon- Built in protection from destruction Striker- forces a ray (though the most current version hard loses to this) rogue- usually either ends on multiple monster effect negates or blinds second to otk. If non-targeting destruction+ feather duster in the extradeck became desirable later formats, the card would be crazy good.
