I think CGB turned rivalry of warlords around in his head, allowing one of each type of monster instead vs allowing only one monster type have fairly different implications

CGB is 100% right on warlords... what is toxic is the yugioh mentality that floodgates are bad... summoning half your deck and creating board states with 5 omni negates is what is toxic, modern yugioh players are just beyond salvation

Yeah this demonstrates why I don't like Galaxy Tomahawk in Rulers. If it resolves it makes an unbeatable custom board. If it doesn't resolve, you dedicated half your extra deck to a combo you can't use. Just not worth it in modern Yugioh where the extra deck space is at a premium.

We keep a list of what all the hospitals in the citt specialize in just in case there's an emergency where we have enough time to pick which ER to drive to. Seeing a specialist is a nightmare too. I had debilitating ulcerative colitis that forced me to drop out of high school. I felt I was the main person advocating for my own care as my parents weren't the most well equipped. Id got the surgery when I was told that if it wasn't done at that point, it would be too much of a health risk to do it later. I ended up getting the surgery in 2 or 3 steps. That was back in 2013. A decade later I don't regret a thing. I have a twisted relationship with this card game as dueling network was one thing that kept me sane during those dark times.

I think the one thing that is always missing is that combat in Yugioh is so much faster in Magic. For CGB if he reads comments here, the bar for a level 4 monster is 2000 ATK, and that happens pretty regularly. That is basically a 5 Power Creature in magic, like Lodestone Golem. Getting locked out of playing in Yugioh is so much rougher because chances are, your opponent is killing you with a turn or two of you missing your turn. Since you see two less cards in your opener than in Magic, drawing outs is harder. It all compounds.
