Jonanthan Brandis Well tbh, Yugioh was always more combo oriented than strategy oriented.

ljaquos Combos used to be strategy until Konami made a bunch of cards that did all the work for you.

Jonanthan Brandis Well TBH you still have to go about the trouble of assembling the right cards. It's just a bit more clear what cards go with what cards now, and even then people come up with crazy combos. A few formats ago there was HAT (Hands, Artifacts and Traptrix). Three different archetypes that people created crazy lockdown combos with. You really just have to look for it.

ljaquos TBH there's no real trouble with assembling the right cards 'cuz all u have to do is go to the store and buy the latest structure deck and you're set for a pretty much automatic win. Konami comes up with an overpowered card about every month, each more overpowered than the previous one.

Jonanthan Brandis That's not what I'm talking about. I meant in game. TBH there was ALWAYS a secondhand market to pick up the best cards. Don't believe me? Back in 2005 (original series) we had Goat format. Goat Control was the only deck being played competitively because it was the best deck. Flat out. And that's a fact, which is why I don't play IRL anymore. My point however is that quite frankly, it's nothing new. And everyone who says it is seems to have a very selective memory.

Jonathan Brandis Well 5ds was amazing show and still is a lot of people hate on Zexal probably cause Yuma voice but least Zexal finish in English and love Zexal heck love all 6 yu gi oh shows . Although Vrains really new . I mean most people hate on the other dubs cause of the voice but I seen noting wrong with there voice . Yeah I was shock at Yuma voice at first but was not bad but everyone has right to think what they want .
