Yu-Gi-Oh VRains: Top 10 UNANSWERED QUESTIONS!

I think the biggest unanswered question in Vrains is what the hell happened behind the scenes of this show. Switching directors, plot points brought up and then dropped, characters changing on a dime, some characters losing horribly with no redemption, others not even speaking, despite having speeches in the past. Soulburner and Blood Sheppard's duel being interupted, and then Blood Sheppard holding Emma at gun point, only for that to go nowhere. Playmaker and Revolver don't even duel past season 1, that is friggin unbelievable. Yusaku's 3 things characteristic completely vanished. It was just like wtf. All culminating in a way shorter Yugioh show. For a card game that makes billions and billions of dollars, its tv show should not have this much shit going on. P.S. I didn't even remember Yusaku had something called Link Sense.

@Chaos of madness besides being overdone, I just don't find the concept of a tournament all that interesting, most of the time it consist of main character/villain going against a throwaway character that isn't relevant to the plot and who will never appear again after that; you know who's going to win, you know in the finals is going to be MC vs main villain with a fight against the main rival somewhere along the way. It's lazy writing as the author can just fill the time with a random fight instead of progressing the story and characters in a meaningful way.

Would Yusaku and Aoi develop a genuine friendship? Besides being allies...I was disappointed over the lack of friendship moments and ship tease....we only get subtle implication that Aoi may have developed a crush on Yusaku...and Yusaku has a clear soft spot for her...I wanted to see more of those type of moments....so disappointed with that. I know it's not that type of series...but all potential pairings had that type of stuff....and with the way this ended...I hope series 7 is a continue of the series...or a cross over...I want more of these characters.

There was always the potential SOL Tech villain route until right up until the Lightning and Revolver duel, which basically killed off that plot route.

I think Yusaku's link sense might be his ability to sense spirits or be an esper, like in all the previous seasons. I also think that Spectre might also be able to sense spirits or smth, with the whole mother tree thing and crying when Earth got cut into ribbons

Your Number 8 question was answered in the same first or second episode. Playmaker questioned how he knew about Speed Duels when Ai brought it back. It’s later explained that Playmaker/Yusaku and Ai have a “Link Sense” which lets them be able to able an almost sixth sense when it comes to the data network. That’s why Yusaku could see Revolver flying around in VRAINS while still being in the real world

The Kings are the most important part for me. The TRUE leader, so the middle one, of SOL should defeat playmaker in a honest duel. Also, the windy lost child could have survived, and being a new villian who also defeats playmaker in a honest duel for tension & a seroius aspect, and two strong villians who are succesfull.

Queen vs. Blue Maiden; We know Queen uses Allure Queen Deck, but would be fun to see what she can actually do, with lot support. Knight vs. Varis; Maybe have Knight use Buster Blader deck to give Varis difficulties, with his deck being Dragon Focused? King vs. AI & Yusaku Tag Team; Give King some really powerful deck, maybe a custom made for movie like Cubic were.

He has a plane based deck (wind/air), he and his mother were in a car accident where his mother fell into a coma and he lost an arm iirc. Revolver said that Windy caused an AI to go rogue to cause an car accident to kill off his partner, but it was never stated that the partner actually died (Windy might have just thought he killed him)

My fantheory/headcannon is that they were working up to the reveal that Hiyumi was as the spy but also that she was the lost incident Wind Ignis Duelist. She survived her supposed "death" and hated AIs for that reason and secretly joined the hanoi, as the spy. It makes sense considering the main villains of the show were either Lightning acting out of self preservation or SOL tech for their shady business practices so you could reason that she was working as an anti-hero and putting up a front. Maybe she could even use something like a wind archtype - maybe something like reptiles? Day 198 of waiting for new Venom support.

Junko Enoshima lightning was the only bad ignis because he could not coexist with humans. making windy the same would have resulted into him playing a bigger role as villain in the season because both would have plotted everything. so windy would have no hate towards bohman in his duel vs soulburner (bohman vs soulburner) which was before the windy-reveal. maybe lightning would have accepted his inferiority if he would have known that another ignis was like that. who knows.

Ok guys this is going to sound crazy but it makes perfect sense. This is my explanation of Yusaku’s link sense and possibly why he was chosen to be in the incident. Yusaku’s parents created the Vrains, and Yusaku because of it is part AI because of it a C.A.I.borg (I can pun too Ai) if you will. Which can give him a connection to know what’s going on in the Vrains, because he technically is part of it himself. As for why the others were recruited, I think it stems that they were test subjects in a previous experiment in Sol tech to try and make Ai with free will based off the personality’s of certain people but it went aria. So Dr. Kogami secretly took over and gathered the most promising test subjects and continued with it vigorously.

the topologic nabee thing i can't get over LMAO it's so funny but the link sense is my biggest unanswered question tbh besides ai's fate. i can't help but wonder if it had something to do with how different his experience in the lost incident was due to ryoken's encouragement, bc it's also said that ai is the first ignis to develop instinct, for example. it's kinda hinted that yusaku's been able to sense the network since the lost incident, so i feel like it's gotta be related, but i guess we'll never know for sure :/

So many things they could have done. Pandor seemed to be built up for something too. Can limited free will actually be free will? Is an interesting concept and I honestly thought her interaction with AI and the way he treated her like a person, not a program, as well as his interests on her kind of hinted at her being more important. I honestly thought she would join Ai and Robopi.

My guess is that once Queen was gone, those chess pieces were gone too. Edit: Kinda upset Topologina Nabee didn't make the top 10, but I am glad ya did mention it. I really hope that we get the Topologina archetype in the real game, so we can play a semi-pure Topologic/Topologina deck. I'd like to see how that plays out, seeing how Trisbaena, Bomber, Gumblar, and Zerovoros work by attacking different areas.

You definitely caught me of guard with the Naebe question xD. My biggest question is: "What where they going to do with the Ignis originally?" I do not think that lightning was supposed to be the villian. My second question is: "Why didn't Kogami erase lightning from the start?" Revolver said that his father did Simulations on the Ignis and lightning had the worst results. So shouldn't Kogami do some precautions ?

I 100% guarentee Bowman got Earth from lightning when he defeated Specter, Think about it, after lightning defeated him, he told jin even the weak have their uses, He must have made a new Earth substitute for Bowman out of Spectres data, afterall he was Earths origin.

What are the origins of the Data Storms? Why do monsters live in them? How was Ai able to make a link 6 without using as much data as Bohman? Who caused Blood Shephard's accident? Why were there monsters active in Link Vrains at the end of the show? Are Revolver and Hanoi still on the run from the law? Why did Yusaku not have a newer duel disk? What happened to the workers and projects at SOL after Ai acquired them? What was the real reason behind duelists not having access to other summoning methods? What about the lost incident resulted in the Ignis being created? What was Ai planning by sending the Cyberse magician data and instructing Roboppi?

But the greatest mystery of Yugioh Vrains is : what was the threat that motivated Kogami to create the Ignis ? Because I'm 100% convinced that there was an actual threat, I'm pretty sure that Windy's partner wasn't planed to be killed. Same for Lightning version of Kogami fatal injury. How was Ai supposed to pardon Lightning ? And how could Lightning, along with the other ignis save the humanity after murdering his creator ?

There also that birds in the first opening and first episode Yusaku was green Ryoken red Aoi blue and Go Yellow it like after the first episode they scrapped that plot point immediately. And originally the show was Yusaku being a beginner at dueling who was very smart but they change it seemly late into him being Yugioh Batman and they dropped the Charisma duelist thing early on too despite making a big deal out of it.
