my personal list for duels i wish were made were: More Real World duels Brave Max vs Playmaker SoulBurner vs Playmaker Lightning vs Playmaker most importantly a rematch between Aoi and Yusaku, especially during the third season to make her get a good final development in the final season. This could have worked in a real world duel as it can show that Aoi is not fighting under a persona, but as her real self against Yusaku's real self.

I really wanted Playmaker vs Revolver vs Bohman to happen. First of all, Revolver was robbed so hard against Lighting and he really, REALLY, deserved to beat him and erase him. Then we could still have Revolver using a trap or something to save Playmaker while him losing and have the whole scene of him aknowledging AI and being nice to him. The other duel we should have gotten was Playmaker vs Soulburner. This is the kind of duel where Playmaker could actually learn to have fun while dueling, plus we could finally see someone defeating him, cause we all know Soulburner or Revolver were really the only 2 that could ever beat him.

These are my Top 10 Duel that I think should have happen in the show: 10. Aqua vs Earth (Season 2) - Same reason as Dylan in the video. 9. Soulburner vs Spectre (Season 2) - Both characters are second in command of their groups and both Lost Incident Victims. 8. Akira vs Emma (Season 1) - Emma an entire different character from Season 1. She selfish and care about herself plus she screws Akira over and have him demoted. 7. Akira vs Blood Shepherd (Season 2) - Same reason as Dylan in the video. 6. Playmaker vs Roboppi (Season 3) - Yusaku created Roboppi when he has no friends at that point of time and he was still suffering from the Lost Incident. 5. Spectre vs Go (Season 2)- Go capture Earth that lead toward his death and Spectre shed a tear after the Go vs Earth Duel. 4. Ai vs Lighting (Season 3) - Same reason as Dylan in the video. 3. Blue Maiden vs Go (Season 2) - Go capture Earth that lead toward his death and it was teased after the Go vs Earth Duel. 2. Blue Maiden vs Roboppi (Season 3) - Both characters are little sibling of Akira and Ai respectably, both are not related to their older siblings (Akira and Aoi are Step-Sibling and both Ai and Roboppi are A.I.) and both characters would protect their older sibling from danger. Imagine instead of the Soulburner vs Roboppi duel we get this where a revenge driven Aoi dueling Roboppi because she wants to get back at Ai but calm herself after she see Roboppi meltdown and put Roboppi out of his/her misery. This duel should have happened instead of Aoi being sideline after the Ai vs Blue Maiden & Akira Duel, she does nothing after that duel. 1. Ai vs Revolver (Season 3) - Same reason as Dylan in the video.

In this episode of Fact-zone: Ai and Revolver DID DUEL but it was not shown in it's entirety. Yes I know it was Ai's clone that also took on Playmaker and Soulburner but it DID happen. This would also fall into the category of some smart-ass saying that Kurumi didn't appear in the Date A Live Encore OVA until the end because the character that did appear was her clone which IS STILL KURUMI despite being Kurumi from a different point in time, so yeah Ai vs Revolver DID HAPPEN, oh and there's absolutely nothing shocking about Revolver losing to Soulburner, it was beyond obvious that it was gonna happen.

Another fantastic top 10 video, Dylan! :D Yeah, it would be pretty awesome if these duels actually happened in the anime! :) Also, if I may point out just a little criticism, Dylan, I personally don't really like the way you do some of these images in your recent videos such as them bouncing, vanishing a bit then reappearing, and zooming in real close followed by zooming out etc. Now, some I don't mind as much as others, in fact, I actually do like the way you do the numbers list by having them appear in the lower-left corner of the screen alongside the name of whatever it is! I just personally found the others a bit distracting is all. That's just me, though. I still do really enjoy your content, Dylan! I just kinda wish you would do some of these images like you used to do in your older videos such as your Top 10 Best Girls In Yu-Gi-Oh! video you did over a year ago. But, again, that's just me being nit-picky. Maybe I'll eventually adjust to it! :) Sorry about that, dude. :P Still look forward to your next video! :D

I think I know how 5 of those duels could've happened and worked out well (2 from the honorable mentions). Okay 2 of these duels is not exactly how you have had happen in the show as I combine them into a tag duel with another character being added in as Revolver's tag partner. . *1) Windy vs His Human:* Have it be in flashback. When Windy says he had his human's car crash, have it be where Windy gave his human an opportunity to not be killed. You could have them enter the VRAINS and face off against each other with Windy winning and therefore the car crash happening. . *2) Playmaker vs Soulburner:* Replace Revolver with Playmaker. Have Soulburner either win or lose. If he wins, he goes on to face Revolver and loses to Revolver. If he loses it skips that duel and goes on to the next on the list. . *3) Playmaker vs Revolver Rematch:* Playmaker doesn't like Revolver's plan to defeat Ai, but he also didn't want Revolver and Soulburner to fight, so that's why the previous duel on this list happened. I'd like to see this duel end with Revolver winning, but Playmaker convincing Revolver to have them both face Ai together. Revolver agrees, but under the condition that Playmaker won't try to prevent him from stopping Ai. . *4) Ai & Spectre vs Revolver & Playmaker:* Okay so for this to work as the final duel of the show, I would say that when Lightning defeated Spectre that some sorta brainwashing did happen, but it wasn't completed in time for Spectre vs Revolver to happen. Ai would've realized that Spectre was partially brainwashed (not enough to be noticed by anyone unless they knew Lightning did something to Spectre), so Ai would finish what Lightning started by dueling Spectre and then completing the brainwashing. Revolver and Playmaker would show up to face Ai as a team and Ai would surprise them by saying he was expecting them to both show up, so he prepared himself a tag partner. I think this could make such a duel emotional for both Revolver and Playmaker. For Playmaker he doesn't want to defeat Ai and have Ai die and for Revolver it could be the same, but for Spectre. I'd actually like to have seen this duel end in a tie as the only way for everyone to survive would be if the duel ended in a tie as Ai would've failed to consider that Playmaker and Revolver would try to end the duel in a tie.

My definite top 2 duels I wish we saw & I think would have made perfect sense are season 2 Go Onizuka vs. Spectre over Earth Ignis & season 3 Ai vs. Onizuka & Spectre. First of all, Spectre deserved more duels as he was truly interesting as well as absolutely enjoyable to watch. I finished Vrains with my girlfriend few days ago and we both agree we'd love to see more about Spectre, especially something connecting him more with Earth. I think the duel between Spectre and Onizuka on season 2 could've taken place either after or instead of the last Playmaker vs. Onizuka duel. As Onizuka had aguired Earth's data, Hanoi could've had perfect reason go after him to destroy all the remains of Earth's data. It being Earth could've also being very good opportunity to give Spectre more characterization and personal/emotional connection, as he did share some unconcious bond with Earth. Was it by Revolver's demand or Spectre's own curiosity, he could've taken against Onizuka in order to gain Earth's data to himself. Ending in Spectre's win, this could've also answered the question on how Bohman aquired Earth's data as Spectre later got absorbed by Lightning, which I feel was the biggest plot hole in the series. If this duel happened instead of Playmaker vs. Onizuka, I think Aoi could've aquired Crystal Heart as they started working along with Hanoi and Ai & Aqua could've asked Spectre to give it to her, and maybe Revolver & Spectre agreeing to it only because they're working together, but warning they're going to get it back along with Aqua's data once they're done with Lightning. As well as giving Spectre more characterization and connection to Earth as well as fixing plot hole how Bohman aquired Earth's data, I think this duel could've also perfectly build up for the second duel I suggested: Ai vs. Onizuka & Spectre in season 3. Having faced each other previously, interaction between Onizuka & Spectre could've been fun, especially as Spectre had been forced to work along with someone who isn't part of Hanoi. It really annoyed me how Spectre got killed off on off-screen in 3rd season along with Hanoi's adult trio, as first of all he wasn't supposed to be with them and second, Spectre had previously been far more important character compared to them. Not only that, Spectre was Earth Ignis' Origin, yet Ai never mentioned anything about it, but reminisced about Earth to Onizuka, just because he had used his data before. I think it'd made more sense with Ai talking & reminiscing about Earth to Spectre as well and it'd been very interesting to see how Spectre would have reacted in my opinion. Having Ai defeat both Onizuka & Spectre in the duel instead of just Onizuka, I think it'd not only given Spectre more relevant end than one off-screen, but more importance to Earth and his memory, as he was, in the end, born from Spectre's data. I overall just wished there was more Spectre as he was one of my favorite characters in series and I find him truly fascinating and well-written character. His duels were easily my favorites and I'd love seen more of them, especially ones linking him with Earth, who was born from him, even though Spectre despised the Ignis. Overall I think they could've given him more characterization besides loyally following Revolver, which could've been great. After seeing your list, I also think Revolver vs. brainwashed Spectre could've been great too. I'm always up for some Spectre duels. 👌

1. Jin vs Revolver (It'd be cool if Revolver beat Soulburner and Jin stepped up and became the one to beat Revolver in the end. I also feel it would've been a much better way for Jin to get over his trauma rather than just forgetting about the Lost Incident.) 2. Jin vs Playmaker (It would've been nice to have Yusaku in a duel where he didn't have to worry about the possibility of losing, and Jin could become the strong character that Kusanagi said he might've been able to become) 3. Revolver vs Ai (Revolver was the one who always wanted to get rid of the Ignis the most, and Ai was the last survivor of the Ignis, so you have a good matchup right there. Also, Ai dueled almost every major duelist character in VRains aside from Revolver (and Soulburner), and both duelists are amazing to watch, so it was surprising that it never happened.) 4. Aoi vs Go (I wish Aoi was the one who beat Go instead of Playmaker. Go was the one who lead to Earth's death, and Aqua had more of a connecting with Earth than Ai, and Aoi even challenged Go right after Earth was captured, so it was a duel that would've made for sense to me. Plus, I always saw Yusaku, Aoi, and Go as the original VRains trio, so it was a little disappointing that the two never dueled each other) 5. Ai vs Lightning (Ai and Lighting were the most powerful of the Ignis and among the best duelists in the show, so a duel between them would've been awesome to see) 6. Soulburner vs Lightning (I thought the duel was foreshadowed when Soulburner chased Lightning during the 3rd Yusaku vs Bohman duel, but we got Soulburner vs Bohman instead. That was a pretty good duel, but since Flame seemed to have a lot of respect of Lightning as the leader of the Ignis only to be angry at the fact that Lighting was actually a traitor the whole time, so there was already a lot of tension there. Bohman's duels in the 2nd half of season 2 did a lot for his character, and he definitely needed a couple wins since he suffered from a bad dueling record at that point, but Lightning vs Soulburner would definitely have been one of the best duels in the show. Also, it would've been the only duel where a 2 Lost Incident victims dueled each other with their Ignis by their side, even if Jin was just a puppet.) 7. Akira vs Queen (If we got a SOL Tech based arc, this duel would've been good for both of their characters. It could've convinced Akira to top acting as the company's lapdog, and it would've made queen into a much better villain.) 8. Akira vs Revolver (I thought this duel was going to happen in season 1, but Kogami stepped in. We only saw Akira duel twice during the whole show, and I thought he was a little underutilized, so this would've been a good chance to see how well Akira compares to some of the other duelists in the show. Also, every at the time thought that SOL was responsible for Kogami's death, so it would've created and interesting dynamic. 9. Revolver vs Pandor (I thought Pandor was going to be used a lot more when she was introduced. If Ai somehow got control of her and caused her to turn against Revolver, it would've been nice to see how Revolver would've reacted. Revolver was someone who always hated the idea of AI having free will, but Revolver beating Pandor and sparing her life would've been a great development for him). 10. Playmaker vs Soulburner (Playmaker and Soulburner are two duelists that are pretty much untouchable. They only have one loss and a few draws between them, so it would've been cool to see which one came out on top.)

Honestly, in terms of the Queen vs. Akira duel: I'm not too upset we never got to see it if I'm honest, because I believe the story line we got instead with AI being the antagonist was a much better idea and it was really good. So the fact that Akira and Queen didn't duel isn't a worry for me.

So in between Season 1 and 2, or after Lightnings declaraition of war either A: Windys Origin reacheds out for the Knights of Hanoi or B they recruit him, In this scenario he would have survived obvilously, Then, either when Revolver challenges Windy or during the Mirror arc Windys Origin stepps and either takes revolvers or Soulburners place.

I would have liked to see Aoi have a go against Revolver. Like, she wants to try to have justice for her friend, knowing that Revolver had hurt her, and just wanting to help her in some way. Bonus points if they introduce a Link Monster that merges the Trickstars with the Marincess, or if they brought back Pendulums for her. Like, Pendulums with the effect that allows her to treat Trickstars as Marincess monsters and vice-versa. Allowing her to get in a large chunk of burn, while simultaneously maintaining hand advantage. I think that would have been a good way to reintroduce Pendulums, but to also showcase the growth of her character and how much of an influence Miyu and Aqua had on her, while still being true to her old deck.

Kinda unrelated, but one thing worth noting about VRAINS is that the Knights of Hanoi technically won in the end; All the Ignis are dead, the Cyberse is destroyed, and SOL was cleaned up when Akira became CEO.

I always thought the perfect time for an Ai vs Lightning duel would have been between the Playmaker vs Kusanagi and Soulburner vs Bohman duels. It would have been nice to see Playmaker get his resolve back thanks to Ai. The duel would likely had to have ended in no result or a tie in order to keep the plot on track. He'd be using Playmaker's deck at this point (like the Astral vs Kaito duel in ZEXAL) since the @Ignisters haven't been created yet.

I thought of a scenario in which the Playmaker VS. Soulburner duel could actually happen. So keep the ending of the show and add another season. Soulburner goes on a journey to try and find Playmaker. Blue Maiden goes with him and either Revolver goes and leaves Spectre in charge of the Knights of Hanoi while he's away or there's something going on and Revolver can't leave to go with them so he's sends Spectre instead, and Ghost Girl l and Kusanagi are helping them from the outside with their coding/hacking skills. When they find Playmaker, he hasn't had any social contact with anyone that we know about for at least 3 months, probably more by the time they find him. He doesn't want them to help him - he just wants to be left alone to keep searching for Ai, and he's partly insane because he hasn't been because he hasn't any social contact for months. So Soulburner challenges Playmaker to a duel to try and bring Playmaker back to his senses.

I think Blood Shepherd vs Windy would’ve been nice, especially as Windy ruined his life by having his mum paralysed and him losing his right hand/arm. I think it would’ve been a big duel with a lot of emotion, anger and thirst for revenge from blood shepherd! Would’ve been a huge win for him as well. Obviously with this duel Flame’s death would’ve had to have been done differently but I still believe this duel would’ve been great!

I agree that Akira vs Queen would have been a good duel. Maybe a televised duel with the position as CEO of SOL Tech on the line, ending with a victory by Akira which he could have used given that his duel record is 0 Wins and 2 Defeats, revealing Queen's actions throughout the series to the world in the process. Plus, in the English Dubbed version, Ghost Girl says this about Akira "He rarely duels, but when he does, he never loses". It would be nice to see a duel or 2 to back up that comment.

Considering we never got the hero and rival tag duel in VRAINS I'd of loved to see Playmaker and Revolver vs Bohman. You could've had Revolver defeat Lightning then he and Playmaker team up against Bohman which to me would've been a nice nod to Yugi and Kaiba vs Dartz. Obviously in the usual Yu-Gi-Oh fasion Revolver would fall and Playmaker would finish the duel himself. This duel could've been possible considering the strength Bohman was at during that moment it'd make sense that Yusaku would need assistance from a duelist as strong as Revolver.

Personally I'll Choose Jin vs Revolver, similar to how Soul Burner fought against Revolver to overcome his trauma, Jin could fight Revolver to prove that his not afraid anymore, and he will choose him because he Technically beat Lightning if it wasn't because he cheated, in fact he will use the same deck minus Judgment Arrows and instead using another cards to summon other monsters in order to win, and I say minus Judgment Arrows because the relying of this card was the key component in those duels, lightning will make strategy to always use this card and thus ignoring other cards or strategies for fear of loosing, and Jin will prove that he's better not just by defeating Revolver but by not using Judgment Arrows. Also: Ghost Girl vs Blue Maiden, at the beginning of season 2, Emma took Aoi under her wing as her sidekick, it would have been interesting to see Emma obtaining the Blue Ignis and teasing Aoi about what she could do with her, which will end with her dueling her Sidekick for the Ignis and see how much Aoi has growth, but again, season 2 was kind of rush and Emma had like 1 duel in the whole season.

I have to say, while I can only think of a few duels I wish I saw (Soulburner vs Playmaker, Revolver vs Playmaker rematch, Aoi vs Go) I do think a lot of duelists needed more wins and losses. Playmaker needed a loss or 2, Blood Sheppard needed a win, Emma needed a win, Queen should've dueled more and gotten a win, Akira could've dueled more and gotten a win, Soulburner needed another loss, Go could've used a win, Specter could've used a win and more duels, and they should've had Faust, Baira (always thought that name was Vyra) and Gnome duel more. As a Yugioh fan since the beginning, I am genuinely shocked that the rival and hero didn't have a duel past season 1.

I think Vrains is the best yugioh series so far. I think it has just 2 flaws 1. The recap episodes. A minor gripe but there are 8 or 9 of them which is too much. 2. The first 25 episodes are almost all playmaker duels. I dont like it so much when the main protagonist is over used. Gx season 1 does it too. Judai defeats 5 of the 7 shadow riders!! Compare that to 5ds where Yusei only beats 2 dark signers and the others are beaten by Crow, Aki, Jack, Rua/Ruka. Or DM where each member of the big 5 is beaten by somebody different. Other than that I think Vrains is brilliant. Great backstory, Great characters, Excellent duels, Homage to previous series with the summoning methods. I don't know where it fits into the timeline if it fits in at all.

I would love to see an one-on-one duel between Blue Maiden and Ai. This duel is not a 2 vs 1 match like in the anime, so it should not be considered as a rematch, right? I always have a feeling that Akira did not know how to use Marincess cards. In fact, he actually made a huge mistake when using Aoi’s cards and that made him and his sister lose.

I just realised Ai in season 3 is sort of like the Vrains equivalent of Kaworu from Evangelion - He is one of the things that would bring humanity’s demise and seeks to have himself killed to avert that, and he forces someone who feels close to him to kill him (Shinji / Yusaku) which then makes that person devastated
