@@tsvetomirsheev3882 They do stuff in-engine though is the point, Lubellion and Saronir have great combo lines and both search engine/extend. You don't need to play any other Bystials, or use Saronir as a hand trap. But the deck is still good without them, clearly.

Kashtira engine literally can't out Dragoon. Fenrir, Arise, Big Eye, all can't target Dragoon. It breaks Kash board by itself even when they locked all 5 monster zones + 3 mats Arise. So vs Kash if your Branded Fusion resolve and you summon Dragoon, you basically 100% win the game. It wasn't popular during the first wave of Branded Despia meta since Mirrorjade outs Dragoon easily. So in the mirror match, you don't want Dragoon.

He doesn't. It's purely for Fusion Deployment to get Aqua Dolphin from deck so you can take out Ash Blossom or whatever hand trap of your choosing.

@@slaysmelts7285 You cannnn, but Cartesia is just so good. You'd probably want to make space for the patchwork engine and super poly if you don't have Carteisa. I'd recommend trying to get your hands on at least one copy if possible though.

I can get access to a Bystial lubellion because my cousin would be willing to pass it my way on a family discount but I don’t know if I wanna pay $50 for Cartesia. I have a lot of the core and stuff already from playing invoked dogmatika branded and I’ve always been interested in the abyss lore. I just wanna make sure if I’m making the deck without Cartesia it’ll be able to compete atleast at a local level until I’m able to get my hands on Cartesia. Hope the deck won’t drop to rogue because of hand traps coming back full power pretty much. What are you’re thoughts? Also I don’t see how u can safely play into nib, is there a way?

@@slaysmelts7285 I think you can make a solid build of the deck without it. Swap out the deployments and Cartesias for the Patchwork package and you’ve still got a competitive deck. The patchwork engine is just more bricky and has less tricks than deployment + Cartesia but a lot people still like it. In terms of playing around Nib if you go for the older Branded combo lines you avoid nib pretty easily. And backrow is annoying but if you side duster, cosmic cyclones and evenlys (about to get reprinted) you should be generally fine. Ash hurts but if it was gonna kill the deck entirely it would have done so by now. As the other commenter said you should be able to get Cartesia for less than that but if your main aim is to play at locals and have a good time the deck is still competitive without her.

What I understand is that you don’t want to draw them and they aren’t good on their own, but u have to play them cause they are part of some combos. u need a light target to summon Albion fusion and such.

Lubellion searches Saronir and Saronir gets branded beast in the graveyard....so drawing them is probably considered to be bad when doing your branded plays, not that the cards themselves are inherently bad. You want to just dump lubellion to get the maximum advantage possible.

@@NeoBatou2010 that’s not what it’s for. Lubellion turns into soranir. Fusion for rind. Soranir banish Merc search cartesia and pop off and soranir dumps retribution and dusk send Albion which dumps white which lets you mirrorjade

Yea I’m intrigued to see what happens in the solo ycs events. Because teams doesn’t fully depict the strength of decks since there weren’t many pure branded Despia/Bystial teams. It’s clear no one has really tried to do the new combo that ends with 11 interruptions relatively consistently and plays through Ash. That’s why the commentators were sad. They wanted it. I feel Branded is still in the testing stage so it’ll take time before we see the best builds. But hey, if this is the best build, it’s certainly cheaper than playing 3 $100 Lubellion.

​@@kuribohoverlord2432 I don't think Branded in White is bad. We have cards like Mercourier, alot more dragons, and far more ways to shove Albaz to the GY. It's essentially a second Branded in red that's much harder to stop. What makes it "bad" is "fallen of Albaz". Or more accurately, the meh "Fallen of Albaz" retrains that provides little to no synergy for the main deck fusion plays. Those cards will only work if you have them on the field or GY.
