Hearing Shark say "mission accomplished," proved that he wanted to get Yuma to regain his confidence in himself again. Some people say that he was being harsh on Yuma, but people have to understand that friends (and yes, Yuma and Shark are friends) sometimes have different ways to get their friends to overcome things that's bothering them, and Shark just isn't the kind of guy to go soft on anyone. Yet it doesn't mean that he doesn't care. After all, he's got a reputation to maintain. 😎

But I guess the tag duel Shark and Yuma had against those two guys earlier in the season, and Yuma confessed about his doubts he had and how he was going to not be afraid anymore, prompted Shark to help him become that person he fought beside that night. It was a weird way to do it, but it brought Yuma back, though.

I like how Kite went to the hospital to check up on Yuma but did so in his own stoic way by watching from a distance. He was probably on his way there and when he landed nearby saw him and Shark about to duel on the roof and was like: "Well this is interesting." and decided to stick around to watch the fight. Also Astral put it perfectly: "Humans express their friendship in many different ways. Some do it quite loudly, while others speak volumes with their silence. I prefer the latter." It not only shows that he doesn't mind Yuma's loud and rambunctious personality but that he also notices that Kite cares, at least a little bit. "Speaking volumes with silence" is truly a good description of Kite as a character. He started off as an enemy and soon became a powerful ally. One who doesn't yell or cheer for their friends, but instead offers a reassuring smirk. (I mean...if dueling an alien on the moon and seemingly dying there wasn't already a good show of how far he's willing to go, I don't know what is.)

I get what Shark is trying to do, but tough-love isn’t what Yuma needs rn. He needs someone to talk to about what he’s going through, he needs comforting, not confronting. Of course, there’s no way Shark would be capable of being comforting; It’s just not natural for him. What Yuma needs is to go home, have a hot meal with Kari and Grandma, and just spill his heart out to them. EDIT: when I made this comment, I didn’t do, imo, a good job of explaining this critique. Let me take this opportunity now to reiterate but also clarify my point. I understand that this is a trope, but I don’t personally like how it was implemented. Yes, this came out in the early 2010s, so it’s dated by the time it was produced in. In 2020 (when I originally made this comment) and especially in 2024 (when I’m updating it) men’s mental health is a huge talking point, and new studies into men’s mental health reveals that men who are open about their problems and allow themselves to be vulnerable around their loved ones (issues men have struggled with due to societal expectations and problematic portrayals of masculinity in media) are healthier and happier for it. So as a man in 2020 and 2024, seeing a child struggle with the weight of the world, I WANT to see Yuma go to his family, his support system, and just talk about his burdens. I WANT him to be vulnerable with his sister and grandma, let them in to this part of his life that they DO know about but are kept distant from. I WANT kids watching to see that the hero of the show they like is allowed to be vulnerable and go to his family with his problems, and his family will listen to him. I recognize that’s probably an unreasonable set of expectations: the time this show was made, the culture of Japan, the tropes used in media, etc. all informed the decisions to produce this episode in a specific way. It’s just, in retrospect, I think they had the opportunity to do something really powerful instead.

See the problem with that train of logic is thinking the writers of this show are writing for anyone over the age of 8. Frankly, this is already halfway through the series, and while Yuma is definitely more skilled now the plot makes him play like a bitch every time a new threat happens and makes Astral the convenient solution instead of just having Yuma, you know.. learn the lesson he should have already learned several times that the show pretends he learned.

Well, going back to the two-parter episode called "The Pack," Yuma was trying to get Shark away from a couple of thugs who were later going to frame him for a priceless deck they were on their way to steal, and Yuma was willing to duel them in order to convince Shark he cared about what happened to him. Later on in the duel, which by this point, Shark was teamed up with Yuma, Yuma confessed about how he was afraid to lose to Shark in the rematch before "The Pack" two-parter, and promised that wasn't going to be afraid anymore when something more important than fear is on the line. So now, Shark is using reverse psychology and doing the same thing for Yuma that Yuma did for him. But as far as the tough love thing, well, that's just Shark's style. He does care, and he and Yuma are confirmed to be true friends, but sometimes sugar-coating things doesn't help because it's not getting to the root of whatever the problem is. It makes more sense to be honest to someone than to lie to them.

they screwed up on Heroic Champion - Excalibur attack point as it's effect States Once per turn: You can detach 2 Xyz Materials from this card; this card's ATK becomes double its original ATK until your opponent's next End Phase. which mean Heroic Champion - Excalibur attack point should be 6000 not 8000

I think the closer your relationship with Yuma is, the closer your bond with Astral is as well. After all, Astral is Yuma's second part. Shark never used to be able to see him as he was Yuma's bully, but they're friends now, so Astral is visible. Tori was the first outsider to see Astral, next were his other friends, because they're close to Yuma.
