For those looking at extra deck budget options, I'd recommend Yuki onna absolute zero mayakashi, unchained abomination, psyframelord omega and Draco berserker of the tenyi. (You kinda need the rest) - it won't work quite as well since you don't have as many negates, but good if you don't have the money (like most people at the moment).

Those level 3 monsters you added. I never heard of them, but they will work really well in my Rose Dragon deck. Level 3s that special summon themselves make the deck more resilient. I can basically just drop my whole hand on the board now.

I don't comment much on KZbin videos much if at all but I'm in love with this deck even if I'm only at the 7 minute mark lmao 😍 I always love spicy variants of whatever kind of deck it is, as it means people being creative on their choices (which is why I love magic the gathering for that too) While I haven't actually played Zombies, it has been a deck that's been in the back of my mind on and off as it was one of the structure decks I was thinking of getting as a good budget starter. This is definitely a deck I am 100% thinking of building online and testing as it sounds super duper fun!

Just finished ordering the few things I didn't have, super excited. I've been trying to figure out how to play it since the banlist and I played a lockout version that ended with Naturia Exterior, to the right of it in the main zone, a Knightmare Gryphon and to the right of that Barricade Borgblocker. It's fun, but not nearly consistent enough. Thank you for the help. I was actually off from work for once, so I got to enjoy the stream to the end last night.

Make needlefiber > ss jet synchron > go into Mecha phantom beast link > ss 3 tokens > link ef, tribute self and a token to ss o-lion > make Borrelsavage and equip with Mecha link > o-lion EF to ss a token > jet eff in grave > make herald of the arc light with jet and the last token

How about allure and frauelein? That would speed your deck up tremendously to make sure you get that uni or solitaire in hand and add an extra layer of protection in Fraulein that works well in combination with appollousa. And you will have something to play even when you brick.

While I gotta give you mad respects for the wild ideas of including cards such as M. Captain and Archiver, I feel like I must agree that it does brick pretty badly on occasion with hands that are filled with cards that essentially do nothing by themselves, like the said Archiver and the Synchrons. While the Captain is good that it won't get negated by Ash, it is terribly weak to other forms of negation like Impermanence or other stuff that your opponent has managed to make during their turn. The deck feels already pretty dependent on your Normal Summon so while the threat is still out there of your Uni-Zombie getting negated by an Ash or Imperma, I'd still rather bring him out to get negated and then just SS a Danger or an Apprentice to make them into a Halqi to get something out of it. To be fair, I suppose it's situational. Personally I don't even like to bother with Barricade Blocker since I feel like every time there's something better to make with those two extra monsters I have lying around on the field. This is why I still opt to play Wonder Magician in the Extra for those occasions where you don't need to go into Riser and there's just that one backrow card that your opponent plays that keeps messing you up. Ya said it yourself that the deck is vulnerable to Spells/Traps so the Magician may come in clutch.

Nick Owens Thats a fair point, but keep in mind that a decks viability isn’t based off of one persons record.. Just because I enjoy zombies doesnt mean it’s the only deck I can play. I know how to play against other decks cause I’ve been playing it online and with friends the last few weeks. I also play other decks so I know the interactions.. that’s yugioh. The last time I brought zombie to an event I was still far too new to the game and had no idea what I was up against. I was trying a bunch of decks and didn’t know what I liked. I was playing zombie control and as I say now, it’s just not strong enough. 😂 I played mine cause It was a new deck that no one saw coming, and I thought it was funny. Wound up getting 5th place and really liked the deck. That doesn’t mean that I don’t play other decks and continue to learn. That’s how one becomes better as a player, trying new things. The more recent events I have been to, I knew zombies had terrible match ups against the meta, so I brought orcust, thunder and even lair for fun instead. Mine is my troll deck. Part of being a decent player I have learned is knowing what to play & when. I love zombies but it’s not my only deck. This format though, it’s a perfect call.

Good idea replacing the lost cads with a synchro engine. Unfortunately though this version is extremely bricky now and the list is lucklastered. I mean all these cards(destruction sword, sea archiver and many of the tuners are a complete brick If you draw them.

Not at all. They are all extenders, the only brick you run is the buster, and I personally believe that’s a bad play anyways.. that’s just there if you need it. This deck is wildly consistent if you know what you’re doing.

I really enjoy the new extenders and combo, however, I believe you can maximize the brokenness while still having resources for the following turn by abusing artifact scythe / dagda. you can easily set scythe off of dagda and drawing scythe isnt even a brick compared to destruction sword. as long as you set scythe and have needlefiber on board you can summon TG wonder magician off needlefiber on your opponent's turn and pop scythe, summoning scythe and successfully locking your opponent out of their extra deck. But thats not all... you can use wonder magician's effect to synchro with scythe into the level 10 synchro shiranui sunsaga, granting you an additional pop for shuffling wonder magician back into the extra deck. The funny thing is... you could easily fit these cards into the deck without hindering any of the combos you currently utilize, and you don't have to rely on mezuki'ing out a monster from the grave to make shooting riser and borreload savage. If your opponent is playing any semblance of a combo deck, shutting them out of their extra deck is crushing, and there happens to be no other deck that can do it as consistently and resourcefully as zombies can. Thats enough rambling for now, but I really think the deck could have a lot to gain by running scythe/dagda

Barney25252525 now that it’s not at 3, it’s just a meh extender at best. Since we dropped the Armageddon Knight it’s not easy to get him out unless you have a uni to discard, and even that is risky cause I’d rather discard a mezuki most of the times instead. At 3 he was awesome, 2... now we just play better extenders.

I agree with you, but my builds have never really been pure zombies 😂 I’m also just not really a huge fan of that combo... it’s too restrictive and is only solid for one turn.. equipping buster to something like doomking and making it 3800 plus a walking 2 interruptions is just stronger. Plus, just personally I’d rather go into IP and have Ap, or Avra instead of dagda. But to each their own. That’s why Yu-Gi-Oh! is fun cause it’s literally so open to the players preference .

you dont need mezuki to equip bloom zombie world is on the field already. amazing spice in my opinion. alot of extenders. I still think to many extenders is good but is not an excuse to not play called by the grave. i think I will test crusadia arboria free extender and a tuner is really good

Hear me out Brian, not sure where in your list you will fit this but this combo is BONKERS. You need Re-cover, emergency teleport, and one for one. All three of these cards are one card needlefibers, they are literally glow up bulb only with a 2k cost attached. Give it a try, it's busted.

Hey Josiah! I actually tried them a lot but I wasn’t a fan of the restrictions you had. If you 1 for 1 bloom you’re either locked into zombie, or can’t get it later. If you go for jet synchron it’s not in the deck for your combo. Recover was cool but only good going second. I tried so many extenders and options. There were a few I really liked! Just wanted to max out on consistency. 🤗

hey crush cards huge fan, just a little tip when you said you need to equip a zombie to a zombie everything on the board is a zombie due to zombie world , only thing i saw but apart from that , good deck , good test hands and good vid :)

Union carrier has to be original type, so technically in that instance it doesn’t matter that zombie world is up. Therefore you’d have to keep mezuki. :-/

So far not all that great cause I am an absolutely terrible player. 😂 I'm having trouble to do the combo es right and I got rocked pretty hard by a field made of Dolkka, Ultimate conductor tyranno and pankratops. 😬 Couldn't even put zombie World onto the field cause of that disgusting thing. Anyway I will give more feedback once I get the hang of this deck.

I think Yuki-Onna the Absolute Zero Mayakashi could take a spot in the extra, maybe by taking Barricadeborg Blocker spot? Cause the card is pretty easy to summon and it really cripples decks that relies on the graveyard and the banish zone (hello orcust, hello necroface). I'd like to know your thoughts on that Brian! So personally, I’m not a big fan of her in this deck. I tried it and it’s okay, but if we are talking link 4s, Apollousa, sword and Avramax are just better.. Ap is easily 2 negates and serves the same function as Yuki. I think blocker is honestly necessary cause it still allows you to get anything in your hand out and into the GY. It’s just a consistency piece.

i know you run marauding captain to xyz into leviair, but have you ever considered red resonator? it's a tuner, so it guarantees a halqifibrax even if you draw mezuki or gozuki as the only other monster first hand. i was using marauding captain but then i kept getting stuck with two non-tuners in my first draw, so i switched to resonator!

Can we see a updated shaddoll zombie deck as I’ve pretty much got the same as the shaddoll zombie deck but as bulb and others got hit and I have no dangers so what else should I run? I have satellite synchron and QuickDraw synchron I don’t have the warrior you like I have a pank and crusadia reclusia so pretty much 2 pank and the baby chaos dragons wyverbuster and collapserpent should I add any of these and I have 3 allure of Darkness what should I add? sorry for the long question 💙💙💙

Love the new deck, very interesting putting the lvl 3 package, can I suggest you guys maybe think about splicing in a burning abyss package? I think it would work well here, they're some of the most free extenders in the game with Cherubini

Alex Porterfield yeah I didnt like it as much. Just wasn’t consistent... you’re basically forced to choose between that, or Avramax/apollousa. I just think the link 4s are better right now. The reason that Instant Fusion play was broken is cause anything under Cherubini’s arrows can’t be destroyed, so on end phase, you got to keep your winda ;) but it’s just not consistent enough now. I’d rather go Levier and get back mez for a free I:P and extender.. its a plus 1 every time. 🙏🏼 plus playing 3 extra deck targets for a one of was waaaaaaay too much commitment 😅

I’ll be honest... I’m not a huge fan of control, but I wouldn’t change much. Just change the danger count if need be (due to the list) not much changes until we get new and better support later this year. 😎 but don’t worry we have the hook up so even that will be coming early!
