yeah even moreso when they only have 2 cards left in hand. Talents rip a card is whatever at this point.

No way the yubel player said the deck was cheeks before phantom of yubel but refused to use their handtraps so they got hand hand ripped twice game 2? Nah dude at that point its not the deck. Its you

i mean the deck itself isn’t very great , the handtraps woulda HARD CARRIED this match (but nib + handtrap will do that sometimes jajaja)

@@TheDBGrinder true I've been finding the pure build not being the greatest imo. The deck has a high ceiling but loses to itself too much currently or stun. Been trying to test a labrynth yubel deck for a while now.

Yea i was the yubel player esidessi. had no clue what i was doing with my hand traps game two. Didnt know how to fight the new SE build

Let's ignore game 2 since this is about the player (you) knowing the opponent's deck and focus on Yubel deck instead. During that game 3 you had to play into Nib anyway so here is a different line (ignoring Cosmic since we don't know about it). - NS Lotus, get Ashed - Activate Pain, effect to pop Spirit (ghost ogre check, at least we keep spirit in hand that way as a battle fader) - Add Squirmer, Spirit summon Yubel. - 141 discard Squirmer for a Squirmer. - Banish Squirmer in GY ss Spirit. - Spirit adds a Spell/Trap, if it goes through you get Favorite but this is an Imperm/Veiler check (with cosmic they may let it through) - Link away Squirmer + Spirit for Yama - Yama adds Sharvara. If we get impermed here, we set Favorite that is live Super Poly with 2nd Pain in hand for discard + end phase Lotus will summon itself and Yubel can tribute Yama for upkeep and get a negate that way (that will generate followup since it will trigger Yama in GY to summon back Spirit) End board is Lotus + Yubel + live Eternal Favorite ALTERNATIVE if they used Imperm on Spirit: - Yama searches Sharvara - Make Rage with Yama + Yubel - Sharvara pops Rage, CL1 Yama revives Rage CL2 Rage adds Squirmer from GY. - You haven't used Squirmer hand effect so you do now. make Muckracker with Sharvara + Squirmer - Sharvara sets the Unchained Trap, Muck revives Yubel and discards 2nd Pain. - End Phase you get Lotus and tribute Muck for Yubel upkeep End board is Lotus + Yubel + Rage + Unchained Trap (Escape for the pop, if you play Chamber you can keep Muck on the field for some protection and tribute Rage instead). NOTE: If you want the pop from Escape + SP play, you have to give up Lotus instead of Muck. Substituting Muck tributing something instead of Rage being destroyed will allow Escape to pop the opponent's card without any issues due to "both" since that keyword only backfires when a target is removed and Muck applies during resolution.

Just fyi, 1:44 you cannot activate the effect of lotus again after bringing it back since it was hit with veiler. Lotus is "use once per turn"

Shouldve been a 2-0. You Nib on Omega effect since it cant banish from hand in that case, then they wont get to Dis Pater. Sure they can make something but it's better than playing into full board down 2 cards.

@@TheDBGrinder I was thinking they could make Dis Pater anyway and have a negate but you don't have a banished card in that case. I think you're punished by talents harder if you ogre the omega and try to greed out the nib, but maybe you just chain nib to talents in that case?

@@xtc_w They had full combo in hand regardless of what talents ripped so I think ogre and then chaining nib to the talents was the play there.

game 1 he couldve normalled ash after searching it w oss no effect to search and go straight for sending itself plus flamberge to play around soul of rage into sp banish

they negate snake eye ash , then when you bring 3 bodies back they rage into sp

I can't wait for Phantom to drop. It's such a stupid card. Just a free extender up to three times a turn, basically, and it recycles your resources. Probably should have been a card you can only summon once per turn.

He was very competent with yubel though I thought he played the deck very well, he misplayed with handtraps it happens to the best of us.

Thanks, I was the Yubel player. The handtraps game two was a total misplay but I just didn't know how to fight the new snake eye build and misplayed
