“You are nothing without plot armor.” That quote applies to every yu-gi-oh protag hero except Jayden and Yusei since neither of them had some kind of ancient spirit/alien/AI to give them advice. Jayden and Yusei did it the old fashioned way

If Jaden didn’t pull poly, he basically wouldn't ever win a duel. Even the contact fusion with the Neo Spacian was pretty contrived because the different fusions are so specific in what they can do that the plot had to land there for it to happen. Gran Mole is still awesome.

Kaiba stole Yugi's plot armor this episode. The Ring of Defense coming up is something you would expect from Yugi for sure - the one of card that comes up at that exact moment to counter exactly one singular card in the other player's deck.

Kaiba walked to him to retrieve their rare cards once Marik stopped talking through Lumis’s body lol and gave Atem Lumis’s rare card and his map card and Kaiba kept Umbra’s for himself. Atem got angry at Kaiba for being rude and don’t care about others safety lol
