Brickcity, let's go! Love monarchs, favourite deck of all times since the structure deck release! What would you play instead of Fenrir as I don't want to spend around 30€ for a playset. I tried Baldrake because it looks cool and is cheap. It does something but is obviosly not a Fenrir. Maybe still playing a small Kashtira line with Unicorn, Ogre and maybe a spell? Also, what do you think of extra deck monarchs (with mega zaborg)? Haven't played it yet because domain is just better in my opinion but I am a huge fan of that variant's idea.

Mega Zaborg is best used in Dogmatika or another deck that gets 2 monsters on board without a normal summon, but realy not good in monarchs.

Fellow Monarch Enjoyer I see! You can play bystials as you’ve said or even the red Layer package. Fenrir is the best of the options but also the most expensive. A small Kash package could work but you would need to test the ratios, maybe 3 unicorn, and a couple births? That would give you up to 2 materials of tribute fodder As for extra deck monarchs I don’t have much experience with them at all☹️ Lmk how it goes!

I like ur lists but i could never get rid of at least one erupt of the monarchs. Card won me countless games alone, insanely strong. I experimented also with 2 erupt one march to be able to search either with pantheism.

Fair enough bud, if you like erupt 100% play it. I like it too don’t get me wrong, just with domain and searchable magesty fiend, never found much of a need.

I wonder if triple tactics talents would be a good replacement since it can draw you 2 cards or steal a monster when you are short on tribute fodder. I'm mostly suggesting this since all decks seem to be able to play on your turn.

You can test it out bud , I just prefer having a card I can always use. Going first most HTs are being dropped in the draw phase or are just regular Traps like imperm or the Dominus cards

I'm surprised you don't have Kashtira Ogre in your deck since it has monarch stats. 2800 atk 1000 def.

Ogre is fine but dosent actually do much tbh. Summon it search trap… or have is as an add target of fenrir to then hopefully have Tenacity to add a spell. Would rather play 3 Fenrir, 1 Extender and try keep the build as clean as possible ❤️ That being said, it’s a great budget option for fenrir

I play monarch without erupt trap and i can't stand vs Shining Sarchopagus and Horus 😂 How do you think? Any advice?

Horus unfortunately have a good matchup in monarchs because they can special from GY and Imsety can contest your tribute summons. Best way to beat them is perhaps going second and board breaking with monarchs stromforth and Erebus. Also extenders like fenrir and the time stones help a ton

I dont see a reason not to play 3x Time-Tearing instead of playing Succumbing and FBG to go -1 if you search Time-Tearing Deck doesnt realy play around Mulcharmys at all too

It’s better playing FBG as it can send multiple cards not just Succumbing. The monarch trap or pantheism are both great targets. The -1 can actually help put cards back into your deck, like a third copy of a monarch Spell to allow pantheism to add your wanted card consistently. Opening Multiple Time-tearing is not needed imo and are dead draws past the 1 copy in a deck that draws a ton. If your opponent Fuwlos’ you, you literally can avoid given them a single draw in most hands. If they utilise purulia, you can pivot your plays and establish the domain lock with 2 draws for your opponent. This is not fantastic but Purulia is seeing a low more side deck play now, due to Fuwalos You can also mostly disregard Dominus Impulse which is widely played atm. This is much better than most decks in that regard.
