to be fair to the traptrix player mymerelo's pop is mandatory, so he probably chose the equip so his traps don't go. not that it matters in the end

mymerelo's effect can only hit opponents cards, so in this case since all Candy cards couldn't be targeted it just simple resolved with out effect

Gettin a bit tired of mikanko tbh, just like runick, wish theyd dragon ruler it except never take it off the damn list, only amazoness swordswoman should have that effect, not an entire archetype of cheese.

Mikanko need to be equipped with equip spell to get the damage reflect effect plus the Wind Mikanko monster only prevent destruction meaning if you have something like storming Mirror Force you can send them all back to the hand. Then there's quaking Mirror Force which flipped all of them face down.

Double Edge Sword's effect deals damage to the controller of the monster equipped to it (equal to the battle damage they inflict). My guess is since Mikanko yubels damage to the opponent, Lava Golem's controller (as it was on the traptrix board & equipped with double Edge sword) technically dealt damage to the Mikanko player, they still took the damage themselves (even though the battle damage was reflected it still counts)

Seeing a lot of mikanko hate in the comments i play lab never had much a problem with them. If you have such a problem with mikanko, why don't you just git gud?

I love lab and mikanko, well, any deck that's cute really. Besides, I am partial to the "stop hitting yourself" strategy 😂. I loved gustos for the same reason.
