Why run the Red-Eyes? From my understanding neither REF nor Dragoon require it and you can eliminate the potential brick?

Mask change is kwl I've tried it before, Branded restricts you to fusions which is a bit of a pain as I quite like the link plays

Lubellion you discard to get you any Bystial. Magnamut you target a light/dark in either GY and banish it to summon

I have about the same deck, What's your thoughts on Village (Sidedeck?), Chaos Space (can get illusion lol), Maximus?

Village - side deck, its great if you go first and lock with Goon but sadly really bad going second. Chaos space is a kwl option cause it can set up the GY for bystials, however chances are you'll more than likley be searching lubellion rather than illusion due to the lack of lights. Maximus is to risky this format imo, you don't want to be giving your opp the chance to send stuff like gurura and kitkalos

Yeah looked into it a lot, it's kwl to uterlise a rank 7 version of the deck, however it dosent really give you anything more than what kashtira do themselves, best way imo would be to play a mini engine of 2-3 unicorn and 3 of the spell at current, even then the kashtira don't really provide fusion materials or anything more than that

Just questions, do you think red-eyes fusion is worth keeping in with red-eyes? I’m always scared of a big negate on red-eyes fusion and the bystyals do provide dragons for play into dragoon. My immediate (inexperienced) thought is to try and a find a way to cut the red-eyes package for other cards? Is this a good way to be thinking ?

Depends on the play style and venue, the idea is its the only 1 card that will get you into dragoon, Going first it only loses to ash, going second the plan would be bait out the other negates with stuff like lubellion, or bystials during opps turn and then push for the attack to deal with the possible negates, then ref into dragoon can still get you game even after battle phase as you'll get a double pop and burn. Plus in this version it isn't solely reliable on REF as you have other routes to dragoon it gives you a balance.

Red eyes fusion would lock you out of doing anything if it gets negated or resolves

@@deanoor9391 yeah that's why the bysitals and nadir are so good, bystials can drop during opps turn, interrupt and give you mini bosses on board for next turn when you use REF, nadir can get you into a winda lock for your opps turn so REF dosent really effect them that badly tbh

im not sure why your playing ref package with only 2 ref instead of 3, or why your even playing ref pack in byst dm instead of branded which has way more synergy. i also dont see the point of ever having magicalized in your deck without verte, its pretty much just 1 copy of eye. pot of prosperity doesnt make any sense either since (with only nadir as an engine) your best combo is rod and souls going into dragoon which 1: is consistent enough when your running 3 prep 2 illusion, 2: pot stops you from being able to do your combo, and 3: if your running garura for nadir to send and give you a draw, your also locking yourself out of that. same with souls sending spells to draw.

2 ref is to balance as you have multiple options into dragoon, 1. Ref 2. Rod combo 3. Bystial/secrets. Bystials don't clash with ref as in this version you can bystial during opps turn and then ref during yours for otk. Prosp is to dig into the missing power cards as you have Ref, nadir, routes to rod/timaus combo etc. It's not a nessecity to draw from souls it's about the balance of having imo the strongest single fusion card of ref as you can still nadir under ref not to mention you won't always see ref/pot with the other cards. The reason I'm not playing the branded engine is I like the access to the link engine, yes that can be done with the branded as a later turn but ref only loses to ash, where as branded has multiple stop points, ash, gamma, imperm, crow, bystials etc. Magical is a really nice follow up as you'll have a DM and or Dragon in the GY, to make it more consistent you can run predaplant chimeraflisia cause it can search that.

and branded has alot of synergy with bystal dm. for example blazing + a bystal can make baron if you dont have a hand that blazing can use to make fusions with, souls can get your dm in the gy for lub to make dragoon with which means lub can send albaz and saron or albaz and the tri-bri card to the gy, both giving you utility in different ways (saron can send branded opening to the gy which will protect one of your fusions from being popped, or if you have a bystal in hand you can banish the bird to search blazing, giving you more fusion plays depending on the hand)

a good way to show branded > ref is to say that branded would be better in any of your hands that you opened ref in. ref forced you to do nothing but dragoon pass, which isnt strong enough anymore, and branded lets you do things like make dragoon and get another part of the deck going aswell like the dogmatika engine, or for me i prefer the adventure engine since you can pretty consistently get goon and adventure up since souls can send fateful adventure and dracoback for a draw 2. branded does lock you out of other extra deck options, but if you have engines that can play in that like bysts, adventure, kastira fenrir, mask change 2, and so on its fine. meanwhile ref locks you out of any other plays at all, not just a fusion lock

@@ilikeanime6894 yeah the ref lock is tough but it dosent stop you from nadir play, so just those 2 cards alone set you up for goon protection + winda during opps turn, then a pop 2 and burn twice. I have no issues with the branded version, it's just a different version to the one displayed here.

I finally tried to play some bystials and branded engine with my dragoon and it was nice i was trying to get some feedback from the DM players but I slaved over this for a months trying to make pure, but the bystial's keep ruining my soul servant so i decided to make a bystial variant too with branded to get back the some of the cards. yeah i think the decks kinda kwl issue is its misleading as technically you only have 1 DM card in the main, so its more goon turbo than it is DM bystial
