Gods, I wish they'd update this archetype. I'll never forgive Konami for making making Predaplants. You've got a boss monster with VENOM in its name, uses COUNTERS as a gimmick, and is used in the anime by a villain from a universe where VENOMS ALREADY EXIST as a villain archetype!! And Starving Venom Dragon's first appearance in the anime made it look almost serpent-like! I was so excited and then... plants...

@@muath1401 Playing Seraphinite makes viable running 2 or even 3 Crystal Roses, which is a better Armaggedon Knight that Special Summons itself from the GY; Gem-Knights really need her with Master Diamond and Brilliant Fusion both limited.

Venom was the last deck I played years ago before switching out to MTG. I used the Venom/Reptilianne hybrid build for awhile but found myself frustrated that I had to dive so deep into a secondary archetype just to make it viable.

Divine_Wrath how about something like this. Venom twinhead Lvl 4 dark reptile 600 atk 1600def If this card is normal summoned, if venomous swamp is on the field, you can target up to two monsters and place a combined two venom counters on them. The monsters that gained counters due to this cards effect have their effects negated, can’t be used as material for the summon of a monster from the extra deck and are unaffected by card effects except for venomous swap. If this card is summoned change it into defense position.

@@frankwest5388 Isnt that just more of what they have already? What they really need is a way to search rise of the snek deity and venom swamp. and maybe a draw card that works by shuffling vennominon (and other venoms) back into the deck to draw what you shuffled +1 (or +2), because you DONT want to have vennominon in your hand.

0-0 nope. Normal venoms only give meaningless counters. This one does that but also makes the targeted monsters useless for two turns, effectively stunning the opponent. The main problem of venom is that the counters do nothing unless the field spell is out and even then it only reduces atk and slowly kills them. I just made that concept stronger, while not throwing their main gimmick away.

I use to be like that with Venoms online. When Vennominaga first existed, ain't no way in hell you can't touch this card. Ever. And I mean NO ANSWER at all. If anyone ever says "How do you stop this thing?" My reply is "You don't."

Wow, you pulled off the snake deity win condition... very impressive considering the fact that this archetype is in need of some more support, BADLY. Wait a second, Snake Deity is unaffected by card effects? I thought it just couldn't be destroyed by them. Huh, the more you know.

I know!! I actually didnt realise that until I was making this video. I actually just thought she was like Venomminon but with a win condition. Shes such an underlooked card

@@HarpieKing Well, to be fair, the method of summoning her is rather convoluted. First you need to have this completely separate level 8 and not-very-searchable monster out onto the field, then let it get destroyed by card effects (and it HAS to be destroyed, a thing a lot of cards try to avoid now) WHILE you have a specific not-very-searchable trap card ready to active at the time of the destruction, in order to bring her out. AND that is not all. In addition to all of that going correctly (which the opponent may say nope to at any point) you need to have a large amount of reptile-type monsters in your graveyard for her to have decent attack, and inflict damage 3 times to try to get off her win condition (which would take a minimum of 3 turns)... oh, and at any point your opponent could just drop a Kaiju on her. So I can't blame anyone for overlooking her.

Could do. Her win condition is pretty irrelevant cos you usually already get their LP down to 0 by the 3rd attack but her on field effect is pretty underlooked
