Yoooo! Pak so I used ur build as frame work for my build but instead of the frog package and toad I put in gamma and driver and in the xtra deck I just put in xtra evil twin stuff and in the side I put evenly bc I don’t have lightning storm. And I took first undefeated at my locals today

It is good, but not great. Tearlaments straight up don't care, and Spright can play around it decently well. The best thing about it is that it can be searched with E Tele or Dragon Drive.

Honestly I feel like you'd go on a tear if you stuck to pure PUNKs. You're one of the few top players I know of that actually knows the deck and plays it well. Whether or not they were bigger or smaller tournaments, you got 1st twice with that but got 17th with this deck so you tell me lol 🤷 Honestly after listening to Trifs take and seeing more people play 3 elf, I really see no reason not to unless you REALLY need that extra spot in your ED for something. That is fair, however the first one was a POTE tournament and he did go against the new decks and still took it. It doesn't compare to regionals or anything, I understand that, but they are still fairly representative of how well the deck performs. Consistently winning locals is a good sign if you ask me. Unfortunately I don't have the opportunity to go to a locals or anything as all of it is quite far and I'm currently a bit stuck where I am. I only really get to play through simulators and I only came back to the game a couple years ago. With that in mind, I'll say take what I say with a grain of salt, I only have so much experience, and I also understand that simulators DEFINITELY dont compare. However, I myself have played both his exact lists, and variations of it that I tested out, and overall I was able to get wins across the board against many of the best decks right now. It really is a very strong strategy, people are really sleeping on it. Even Yacine just came to that realization pretty recently and this man is always on top of the meta so take that how you will lol.

@@iWillAvert Yacine doesn't really top anything 😅 I mean, pure punk is ok, but it's not exactly slept on imo. I think people are pretty aware of it's existence but it's just not as good as Adventure Splight or any variation of Tearalaments sadly. It's in league with Mathmech and ExoS, but is definitely the best out of those 3

@@TigerT242 I didn't mean Yacine topped an event or anything, I meant he is on top of what cards are coming to the game because he watches the OCG so much, and with that plays around and does a lot of combo testing to teach the basics of the deck as well as giving you ideas for some good or even spicy options. I was saying that with that in mind, it was surprising even he didn't realize how good it is. And honestly pure punk could compete with at least spright, even maybe adventure spright especially if you consider you are more than likely going to build the deck around countering that and tear the most. I do agree though that power level wise it's in the same class as Mathmech and Exo.

Half of the deck are hand traps… i mean, I know the current makes it that you need to counter every single move of your opponent. But with so many hand traps, you will, most of the time, end up with a starting hand of 5 hand traps and will not be able to do a single move.
