Awesome video! I am so glad you showed how to use this tool. I bought one about a month ago and there was no instructions on how to use it. I kind of knew how to use it but wanted to be 100% sure. This is so simple and easy. Toth Tool makes some awesome AK build equipment. No way of possibly bending your barrel or messing up any thing else like you would using a press. I only use my press to bend flats and install / remove barrel pins now. Thanks a bunch for sharing.

Excellent video as always. Thanks. You're the reason I got into building AKs, specifically using the Toth Tools system. I've built 5 now. Thanks for your videos!

I have the same tools. When I use them they always cause the components to twist slightly. I just went back to populating the barrel with my press. Works great for head space, but not the other components......for me at least anyway.

I've been going back and watching this whole series since I ran across a kit I must have bought like 10 years ago (there must have been a build bug that bit me when I opened the box). This is an indispensable series. I just had one question (at least for now): could you slide the gas piston on to help line up the gas block, or would that damage the piston/throw off the alignment? Thanks again for the great vids.

How easy would it be to remove my front sight for one with a flip up night sight
@toneverdieagain1304 жыл бұрын
I have a yugo NPAP that was put together by century arms I bought like 10 years ago I have a question regarding one if you know the answer. On the front sight block the two pins retaining it, one is flush while the other is sticking out quite a bit more than the other. I was just wondering if this is a big issue or is it okay?

How would u remove components from a cut up barrel? Btw thanks for the vids. I'd like to build some ak before the deadline in CA
@ginsboy20038 жыл бұрын
On cut up barrels I remove the slag from the cuts, then knock the pins out. I use my press to then push the barrel pieces out.

+ginsboy2003 thanks for the quick reply. Will toth tools work on ak 74 receivers?
@ginsboy20038 жыл бұрын
Yes, the receivers are the same width. the magwell size is all that is a little different.

Is the yugo m70 barrel 23mm the same dimensions of any 23mm ak47 barrel? I have a 23mm barrel from windham weaponry
@GB-go6gp4 жыл бұрын
I like your style, informative & not rushed (but you can listen to Rush). I'm having a heck of a time replacing the gas valve on my Yugo, which means I'm having no luck getting the old valve out. I've been trying the "socket (just a bit larger than the right side) over the right side, then pressing on the left side" method, and all I've managed is to mushroom the threads. Any ideas ? (Bueller... Bueller... ?)

Great video! If the gas block or front sight WERE a bit canted, is there any particular tool you would use to twist them into alignment? Something like channel-locks or a pipewrench? or some other way?

Got that tool for the barrel didn't know you can popular the barrel components too. Nice video,thanks. For depopulation of the barrel you use your press, blocks and pennies?

Can you install the barrel in the trunnion with the toth tool without the receiver being attached. Im setting up a virgin barrel
@ginsboy20038 жыл бұрын
Yes you can. If you don't tighten the vise up enough you have have the trunnion try to shift on you, but I've done it this way.

When pressing on gas blocks do you ever encounter partially aligned barrel to block gas ports? If so how much can you get by with?
@ginsboy200310 жыл бұрын
CRAIG HANSEN Most of the time, the gas port isn't drilled, so I am able to position it where I want and drill the port myself. The port is supposed to be .128 in dia. but a 1/8 drill bit will work perfectly.

If I have a yugo m92 pap with no barrel Could I potentially use a kit like this a build off it (receiver)..I know I’d have to shave the front sight down. Thanks for your help
@ginsboy20037 жыл бұрын
Sure, the barrel diameter in the trunnion needs to be the same, the other stuff may change as well including barrel location for the gas block and handguard retainer.
@bristol13127 жыл бұрын
ginsboy2003 If I get a m70 kit with the barrel already populated would it be as easy as pulling the m92 trunnion and barrel. Install new trunnion,barrel and head space? Thanks a lot. You always answer my questions. I appreciate it.

Hi! great video! I am looking for a grenade sight for a m70 ab2, can anyone help?
@michaelbenjmitchell110 жыл бұрын
The gas block would be the most difficult to do since once you drill the holes for the pins you will have to remove the gas block to drill the gas port then re-install and pin in place. You can't do that with the front sight pinned in place.

I don't think it would hurt. Just be sure the port in the gas block is the same size as well.
