This guy I went to high school with, he was a senior when I was a freshman. He was a cool dude, pretty well liked among those of us kids who like to get stoned and smoke cigarettes and the like lol He wasn't like a prom king or football star or anything, but anyway... Oh, I knew him because of JROTC, and he was a good ROTC student and was really good at the rifle flipping stuff. Anyway, he enlisted in the Army and I think he became a 19K/M1 Abrams tanker (I know his best buddy joined with him on the buddy program and he became a tanker as well, and then I became one eventually, but it wasn't influenced by either of them or any buddy program). And he ended up, oh he was national guard that's right. But he's still ended up deploying to Kosovo. I completely lost track with him after he graduated so I don't know anything about what it was like in Kosovo, I don't know any of his stories or experiences. I'm here obviously to learn more about the conflict in Kosovo because again, I don't know anything about it.

The Air Force bombed Serbian forces before the Army ever set foot in Kosova, Serbs had committed genocide and the US was late responding. When I arrived there, NOV 2001, the damage had been done, Kosova was empty, the ethnic Albanians had either fled or were slaughtered, only a few had survived.

NVGs, M4 Carbines Laser aiming modules, etc. So very advanced in the year of 1999. @Robbie The great yeah but before peace agreement came you and your NATO friends such as SAS,Brits, French Legion and even some Gurkhas supported by NATO aviation couldn't break through Serbian defense lines on the borderline in all battles and you had 7 times higher casualties than Serbian army for example in battle of Kosare and in battle of mountain Pastrik and also you failed your Operation Arrow which we Serbs call "broken arrow" for a reason.Peace Agreement and resolution 1244 accepted full territorial integrity of Serbia which means Kosovo under Serbian rule and allows Serbian army and police to get back to Kosovo which Serbs did because Serbian special forces are in Kamenica county in Kosovo today,the peace agreement said that Serbia didn't lose territory but just let UN troops to make peace on Kosovo and reduce civilian unrest and that Kosovo remains Serbian province with full autonomy 🇷🇸🇷🇸💪💪

@Robbie The great Kosovo is not free,you are right that you had full air superiority but you still couldn't break through Serbian defense lines on the borderline in total in all battles we lost 195 soldiers,i am going to tell you yours and our casualties from all battles. Battle of Kosare-Serbian army 108 dead and over 200 wounded,but NATO and USA had 340 dead and over 500 wounded Battle of mountain Pastrik-Serbian army 87 dead and 180 wounded,but NATO and USA 453 dead and over 700 wounded. I must mention that in all battles Serbs were outnumbered by NATO 10 to 1,in first days of battle of Kosare Serbs had 110 borderguards against 1500 NATO and USA troops,in first days of battle of mountain Pastrik Serbs had 59 soldiers and 5 officers against 600 NATO and USA troops.Combat effectiveness ratio was 600 to 1 in NATO favour but you still couldn't break through Serbian defense lines on the borderline
