Right? If it werent for Pokemon, I.... I dunno what I would have even got into....? Maybe more sports after I stopped playing after Little League? But in all honesty.... Pokemon = Childhood.

I was just thinking about the day the Nintendo Power pokemon vhs showed up at my house and spending every day looking forward to it until I marched to Toys R Us to buy my copy of the game.

the fact that the music used to be some polytone tunes from a large brick without much soundquality is so wild in hindsight. makes it respectful how the composers found a way to make it work

Give credit to the devs who composed the music originally too!

I recently got married and listened to this on my 25 minute or so walk to my ceremony. I was alone and just wanted some time to myself to reflect on a childhood and a life well lived, full of adventure, charm and happy memories. A big part of that was due to the Pokémon franchise and the feelings this music inspires. On my walk, through the music, I started an adventure, faced challenges and ultimately came to a triumphant end and a new beginning - this soundtrack encapsulates this feeling perfectly, beautifully delivered by this orchestra. I have played Pokémon for 25 years and this music still hits the spot. Thank you for getting me ready for married life.

In the first place it sounded as if you walked into a journey you wouldn't survive 😂 Jokes aside, I feel you Pokemon Gen 1 is life and the memories of the first 3 Gens are the best I have

I just love how the SS Anne theme turned into a fugue, thats so imaginative and creative than most covers out there

I've tried from time to time to play the new entries in a desperate attempt to recapture my childhood, but they never really exceeded Red and Blue. For people who were born in a world where pokemon has always existed, I don't think it's possible to understand the sense of wonder we experienced when we first explored that world at around 8-9 years old, discovering what "pokemon" were for the first time. This orchestra arrangement was an amazing way to relive that.

I love how as a 90’s kid I can just pin point the music and what’s happening during. Like going through the journey in 25 mins! Well done!
@derbar70512 ай бұрын
Exactly right! And that's why Red & Blue will always be my favourite Pokémon games.
Besides me being so stunned by the actual music, I think te transitions between the themes are amazing. Also knowing how they composed these sounds with the hardware limitations on the GB makes it even more impressive. I am grateful to have played these games at the original time, so I can really appreciate this.
