ワカバタウンの曲聞くと本当に実家に帰ったような感覚だし、29番道路は初めて旅に出たときのわくわくを思い出させてくれる。 不慣れな戦闘で相棒とおっかなびっくり戦って勝ったときは本当に嬉しかった。 初めて自分の足で辿り着いたキキョウシティ、少し旅に慣れてきたヒワダタウン、こんなに大きな街があるのかと驚いたコガネシティ…伝説と初めて出会うエンジュシティの優美さと、スズの塔の荘厳さ。曲を聞くだけで「ああ、あそこだ」と分かるほど何回もやったなぁ。 リーグの曲は大変な思いしてあのドアの前に立ったときの緊張を思い出すし、チャンピオン戦の曲ではポケモンたちに「頑張れ！頑張れ！」って言いながら必死に、でも楽しく戦ったのを思い出す。 きっと同じときにやってた人はみんなそうなんだろうな。 「きみはいま！カントーちほうへの だいいっぽを ふみだした！」は全トレーナーの心に残っていることでしょう。

子供の頃にポケモンよくやってましたが、金銀が1番思い出深いです。この曲をきいてると当時の小さかった自分、ゲームボーイアドバンスにさして昼と夜のポケモンの世界を味わってたあの頃、こおりのぬけみちで中々上手く進めなかった思い出、カントーとジョウト2つのストーリーが楽しめて休みの日はひたすら進めまくっていた楽しかったあのときが全部蘇りました。 大人になってたまにDSで出来るポケモンを開いてみることもあるけど、子供の頃に感じたドキドキやワクワクは少し薄れましたね。あの頃は全てが楽しかったです。幼いながらに曲も神だな〜と思ってましたね。BGMだけは不定期にきいています。金銀最高。

このチャンネルの動画を聴いてると、やっぱりポケモンのBGMは吹奏楽やオケでも映えるなぁって思うと同時に、自分がまだ小さい頃に楽しんで遊んだ思い出とか、懐かしさが込み上げてくるんですよね……。29番道路は木管の可愛らしい音色が穏やかさとこれからの冒険への少しのワクワクみたいなものが感じられるし、エンジュシティはゆったりとした和風なメロディで安らぎを与えてくれます。そこからのホウオウ戦までの導入はさすがですよね！和音階の独特の雰囲気に段々と緊迫感が増してきて、ホウオウ戦で一気にボルテージが爆発する！とても感動的でした！あと、ポケモンリーグでのピアノの装飾が個人的にキレイで好きです。最後になんといっても26番道路からエンディングの部分！ゲームでもアニメでも使われているフレーズで、生まれてから何回も聴いているはずなのに、いつ聴いても心がワクワクしてきますよね！まだまだ冒険は始まったばかり！そんな声がTo Be Continued !!って黄色文字と共にが浮かんで来そう笑。きっといくら歳をとっても、自分はポケモンが好きでいるんだろうなって思います。まだまだ長いこの人生を、ずっとポケモンと共に進んで行きたいものです！長々と長文失礼しました。

I love this gen. I took a break from Pokemon during high school and when was 16 I fell into deep depression... Then one day i remembered how much i loved Pokemon as a kid. So I bought a DSL and SS to play again. Honestly if it weren't for Pokemon, I wouldn't be here.. This video ha dme in tears remembering how much time i played this game ;-; ... aaaand it's been 10 years since I bought this game. Time flies XD I'm old. Edit: I'm 29 now hah. I rly am old

The Heartgold remakes came to me when I was in a dark dark depression in college. I didn't handle the transition well and my major was NOT the right choice for me. I was too scared to make brand new friends. I heard the Gold and Silver games were being remade and spent a lot of time literally ducked in the maintenance area of the compsci hall in a Pokemon chatroom, just anticipating Heargold. I felt like a kid again. I think it was the positivity I needed to carry me through

Thank you. I know it's from Heartgold and Soulsilver but it's a Remake from Gold and Silver and this brought me back to the days when Gold and Silver came out and I played it a lot especially during my summer vacation. I hang up my laundry and I remember when my mum did that but she did that outside because we had a laundry rack outside every neighbour could use. But it's not that usual anymore.

人生初のポケモンがSSだったから、野生ポケモン戦とか色々懐かしい……！特にワタルさん戦は「チャンピオンってこんなに強くて畏れるような人なんだ」って認識したというか、チャンピオンっていう存在のイメージが形作られた思い出があるから感慨深い……みんなレッドの印象強いみたいだけど、私の中では永遠にワタルさんの曲です(笑) それはともかく、演奏なさった皆さん、指揮者さん、お疲れ様でした！とても素敵でした！

If I could like this 1000 times, I would. When Ecruteak City began to play I realized what makes this medley so much more heartfelt and endearing: it's how chronologically the songs are presented. They are almost exactly the order that you would hear them in-game, and that makes this feel like an 18 minute journey through the Johto Region, in the same way that we experienced it many years ago.

This is a really good arrangement! Really enjoyed listening, although I was hoping that they would have included the newer version of Cianwood City's theme (in A flat major) or Ecruteak City's theme (in B major), regardless it was still very fun to listen to!

I got confused as I saw HGSS written in the title of the video, and also since a lot of these pieces in this arrangement sound more like the HGSS versions, namely Violet City, Azalea Town and Route 26/27 themes. However I also did notice that a lot of these were the GSC versions such as the Goldenrod City theme and the old Cianwood/Ecruteak theme. So I'm guessing that this arrangement contains both GSC and HGSS versions of the pieces.

I have to say, the percussion in the GSC Ecruteak/Cianwood theme in this arrangement was a smart way of retaining the traditional japanese feel of the HGSS Ecruteak City theme, while still keeping the nostalgia of the original theme.

@Chihusky 419 I believe a lot of the newer games are heavily based on real life locations. For example, Castelia City is based on New York, Lumiose City is based on Paris, the Alola region is basically Hawaii. Most importantly, every single town in the Galar region is based on towns in the UK.
