She is for sure the uncontested best pianist for this piece (actually in my opinion for all Prokofiev Piano Concerti, except No. 4 for the left hand, which I haven't heard her play). For me her personal best for this piece is the one she did with Berlin Phil conducted by Petrenko back in 2018 at Lucern Festival. It was perfect at all aspects -- the soloist, the orchestra, the tempi, the color, etc. By the way, this recording is superb! So well balanced and with such clarity and cleaness that I could hear every minute details. Think you Ed for uploading it!

If you liked Wang/PC3 Prokofiev/Berlin & Petrenko, the version they did in Berlin is worth tracking down. It pops up occasionally & just as quickly gets taken down. I guarantee you will like it - maybe even more than Lucerne. Lucern e is fabulous too. 👍

Merci de partager cette version. C'est la même oeuvre mais son jeu est renouvelé au contact des plus grands orchestres, à leurs chefs et à leurs styles respectifs. New York (à domicile c'est spécial, même si elle est partout comme chez elle) Berlin, Vienne, Rotterdam, Caracas, San Francisco, Paris, London, Verbier, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, etc.

I played this concerto in our junior school concert when I was 11 but Yuja is way surpass me !
