Tbh I’ve always assumed Yura was always kind of shaky morals, but he was masking it up until the mill after that dude got shot and it’s been slowly down spiralling since then. Because in false disposition it’s mentioned that Yura’s heart had ‘rust’ which may be implying that. Then in the mill it seems he is told as advice ‘shield yourself with these layers of rust’ which to me kind of implies that he is being told to embrace the pessimism and manipulative side of himself. Could be completely wrong tho, but at least that’s my interpretation of it.

I know I'm late and someone probably already mentioned this but when it says "all cards are on the table" it shows three cards with Olya, Yura, and Dima on them in that order. The bottom of Yura and Olya's cards show them in the outfit they wore when they first appeared while the top is their latest outfit (Olya with her outfit from "The Mill" and Yura with his scar). Dima's card while looking like the same on the surface is sort of the opposite. Although the bottom is him in his jacket from his first appearance (Punch it, Punk) the top is him in his uniform from the facility (Comfort Zone) which chronologically happened before the events of "Punch it, Punk". This might foreshadow Dima going full circle by heading back to the facility. The idea that "his story ends where it started". I imagine something goes wrong when breaking out Katya and Yura who doesn't care about Dima leaves him to be captured. Or I might be reading too much into a minor detail. Could be either honestly.

Another way of reading it is that, from Yura's perspective, that's the most recent development. He's just had his suspicions about Dima confirmed so the latest relevant thing to show is that he's a mutant. Basically making it the rough order of information rather than strictly chronological. I think that would make the most sense as one of his "cards" in the situation. I didn't even notice the cards were different on the top and bottom until now though.

Seeing how antagonistic Yura has become in his attempts to save Katya, I can only become more reminded of Temnova and how there seems to be intended parallels between them both (with the notes of ‘seeing people as means to meet an end’ in both Occam’s Razor and Doctor Temnova’s lines in Comfort Zone and their constant smiles being emphasized). Then my mind reaches how ‘Like a Dog’ shows Temnova’s methodical approach to the ‘eventuality that Dima will return to her.’ It truly is a fitting entry to be right before ‘Convergence,’ as it seems like Yura has reached a similar conclusion toward meeting Katya again. I only wonder if they will have a direct meeting in a future entry? And I wonder if Dima will despise seeing Temnova within Yura?

Okay, this isn't as bad as I was fearing this would go. Yura gave them a chance to help without the blackmail first, and only resorted to it after a refusal. I also have a feeling he was so willing to target Olya because he's a bit upset that she robbed him of his "cathartic resolve" like he said before. He's displayed a lot of bitterness at her rescue of him. I am still very nervous about this considering "LIKE A DOG", but... so far... it's not going quite as badly as I feared. But, well, actually going and rescuing KT is the dangerous part, isn't it? I... really don't hope Yura leaves Dima behind for KT, but it kind of looks like that's what's going to happen. :/ Also this was a banger like always! I really liked how messy and chaotic it sounded, like a real argument, but was still so pleasing to the ears.

I've been sitting on this for a few hours... and wow, this is going to end really badly, isn't it? Just based off of what I read in the lore document, I'm finding it really hard to believe that these relationships are going to hold, and that the rescue plan for KT is going to go well. There's too much animosity and distrust there. And then there's what happened when Yura last entered the Zone.. This just feels like a disaster waiting to happen, and I really don't doubt the idea that someone's gonna die or be imprisoned by the end of this. Or maybe both.

Plot twist: they're late to the rescue because KT is already terminated. Temnova advised the escape plan because Dima was going to be terminated if she didn't let him escape, this was because the research facilities were lacking funding and a lot of mutants had to be terminated. KT could have met that fate by the time Yura and his hostage team reach her.

Okay, second watch and I get it now. It's so easy to understand both sides. Especially after Comfort Zone we know Dimitri isn't a super good person, and he is also a coward. But ultimately he is also a victim, and in some ways her tries his hardest to be a better person (like standing up for Anya). And we know that Yura has good intentions but he constantly goes about them in the worst ways. He may not have a lot of options but he's asking a lot of a child who is in no way prepared to face their abusers. He's also a victim himself of the kind of shit world that doesn't allow him to rise up. Both kind of let themselves ride in their negative thinking. Dimitri hides like a coward. And Yura has this overly nihilistic world view. Despite that, and despite how much I want Katya to be okay, boy am I on Dimitri's side. That boy was groomed to be how he was and for the first time he is able to live like a normal person, in a place where he is safe. And then this depressed teenager is like, here to fuck it up. And I get it but like.....c'mon Yura you don't have to be a DICK about everything. Dimitri is already worried about Katya, if you actually came to them without your stupid pretense then you probably coulda talked him into it. And on top of that, I don't feel liek Yura is doing this because he wants to do good, but more of like some super complicated suicide attempt. Boy, go to therapy. I hope Sanya punches him.

Despite the many challenges thrown your way in the making of this PV, man you sure managed to strike all the right spots! Finally the two storylines intersect and Yura/Sanya meets Anya/Dimitri. The chaos, the growing tension, the clashes of memories, morals, and ambitions .... *chefs kiss* Beautiful! Now for analysis: We can see that Yura is haunted by the guilt and events of The Mill and he's become even more obsessed in his mission/investigation since Occam's razor (while ironically becoming more "unstable" in his relationships). In typical Yura fashion, he dons a casual and joking attitude despite recounting KT's gory capture and Olga's arrest to cope, but this only unnerves the other two. He might not be physically strong, but his strength is words and he uses them to strike at the hearts of the other kids. Any reaction he gets from them, violent or wary or otherwise, is alright because he's making progress. Progress made by pushing away those he cares about, including Sanya, who has become increasingly worried about Yura's isolation. Anya is unnerved by her brother's psychological shift and can't help but feel scared -- her naivety and pursuit of heroism has been faced with a serious, even dire situation. She is told about Olga's capture and it seems like Yura implies that her involvement necessitates her cooperation. Dmitri contrasts Anya's wariness and inner turmoil with outward violence, disturbed by KT's fate and Yura's light attitude about the entire situation (also maybe how he hurt Anya by telling her about what happened to Olga, but whether he genuinely cares or that was just a trigger is to be seen). He doesn't like Yura, he doesn't like feeling trapped and yet he can't telekinesis his way out of this one. His power and pride is useless here, just as Yura says. And it seems like Yura also implied that KT traded Dmitri's hardship with her capture. Ouch. Yura is weaponizing his helpless spite to fuel his investigation and is connecting the dots with the other pieces of the puzzle, ignoring that people care about him ("I've got no more dust left to bite") and running head-first into danger. Anya and Dmitri are getting roped into the mess and Sanya is reacting with the Zone -- I wonder where this will lead us next?

Based off the other comments I think Yura didn’t have enough physical evidence at first, to make them come with him. But, Sanya then finds out that the cube reacts to anything from the zone (some people said it was because she has some from her albinism mutation, and some people said it was because she brought the cube to her brother’s office which has stuff from the zone, which reacted to it) Yura finds out because of Sanya, and hugs her cause he finally has ammo to blackmail the two with.(basically not giving them a choice to say no) Sanya is OBVIOUSLY perturbed at his behavior lol Also some people were talking about how the cube glowed brighter with Dimitri, which might account for the fact that he has a super strong mutation. Idk if that will mean anything lol

I love the callbacks to earlier songs in the series like Comfort Zone ("Men like me have the right to be cruel" -> "Poor little boy can't solve all his problems with force") and Punch It Punk ("The coolest rebel kids the world has ever seen" -> "Though playing heroes is not par for the course"), and your wordplay in your lyrics is always so fun to listen to and read! This is an absolute banger and you really pulled it out of the hat again :D

Honestly I think Dima is a really despicable person, in the doc you can see more of his thoughts. Saving KT "on a whim" straight up ready to kill yura then and there. Thinking he's just better than other mutants so he deserves better. Ferry stuffed him in the Lawful Evil on the dnd alignment chart twice. And it tracks because he's logical and selfish and self centered. He cares about himself overall and things that are within his circle of importance which is only olga and anya. The world can burn but not them. But meanwhile yura mostly just hates himself, and he slowly starts getting better. On the alignment chart he got neutral good then chaotic neutral. Which tracks again, he's gone from a good person who won't do anything to a good person who's ends justify the means. But only if he has to. He went in seeing if dima would help with no strings but had a back up plan. He tries to cut off sanya because he knows he's not the best for her. Yura does bad things for good reasons but dima does good things for bad reasons or just as stated "on a whim".

You also gotta think that dima has been told that he's better than the other mutants all his life, he was assumingly raised to only care for himself. hopefully this will end with him being forced to be a better person.

GRIPS YOU. FERRY THIS IS INCREDIBLE. when comfort zone came out i thought "there's no way any mv can top this" AND THEN CONVERGENCE DROPS. It actually only occured to me that each character can be somewhat described by a single sentece: -Cool one -Cowardly one -Rebelious one -Imprisioned one -Broken one -Guarding one -Mercifull one -Devoted one I don't why, but it sounds somethink like the names of roles in the play and i think this is really cool!

I just got done watching the video for the third time. The first two times I listened normally, but the third time I had the video slowed down so I could read and process the lyrics. I love how Ferry incorporates music and themes from previous songs into newer uploads. About half way in I started hearing music from 'Like A Dog' when Sanya was holding the glowy cube. Then later, when Dimi gets fed up and shoves Yura to the ground, the lyrics use some phases that connect back to the theme of dogs. 'keep barking all you want' and 'you are like a cornered dog' Anyway, this is getting really long so I'll stop. I just really love all of Ferry's songs, not just the Parties Are For Losers series, all of them.

Something I've been thinking about for some time: Yura is clearly doing like. The absolute worst wrong thing possible here, knowingly roping in other lives as liabilities to get someone out to fix his own guilt. But going all the way back to say prior to The Mill, what actually *would* have the right thing to do been? He's trying to save a life that was ruined at his own hand, and who has nobody else to help her. But he's also trying to save her for unhealthy reasons, and can't really do anything to change that reasoning. What would have been the right thing for Yura to do? It's a fascinatingly horrible situation.
