On the edge of Tokyo lies Toho Studios. This is the place where classic Japanese movies like Godzilla and movies are still being produced. Lets go see one of the biggest active studios in Japan!

The giant Godzilla art is not the 1954 design. It is the Heisei design from 1994. Same goes to the statue there at Toho Studios. Furthermore sure Godzilla was in 1954 a financial risk, but Seven Samurai never bankrupted Toho! Both movies were expensive for Toho in 1954, but they never would have caused true trouble for them. Otherwise a nice video!

Toho doesn't have formal tours, but courtesy of the late Akira Takarada a group of us did get inside. Smaller than you'd think, but wow, what stuff. The painting of Mothra on a wall was mind-bending. The stream shown is the one from 7 Samurai, by the way.

The three things that I think of when I think of Japan other than the three you mentioned are; 1.Geishas. .2.Shinkansen. .3. Tokyo Tower. If I could add a fourth, fifth or sixth; 4. Anime/ manga 5.Kabuki/ Noh theater 6. The Diet Building

Great video. It's surprising they don't have tours. It's not like Toho is making a lot of money from movies these days. They could probably make more money charging for tours of their studios.
@Yukendoit

I think they are more interested in making movies rather then having to interrupt the productions.
