I am a little concerned about Nishida's condition. His jumping height has dropped since he got bigger, and his spike accuracy seems to have dropped as well.　I hope he will somehow get back in shape, and I also expect Miyaura, another oposite player, to do well. Still, Ishikawa's overwhelming presence like an emperor and Takahashi's libero-like defensive skills and agile movements are fun to watch. I hope these two, who have become stronger with their experience in the Italian league, will lead the team.

Agree. Something's off about Nishida during this match and in the friendly game against Poland. His attacks have become readable and his serves wasn't great either. Ran has gradually overshadowed him in terms of consistency and skill and it shows - ran was barely taken off the match while Yuji was sat down at the end of each set; i think he has noticed this as well and he might have lost some confidence. I hope he can shake off his nerves and clear his mind in succeeding matches - he is still one of my favorite players and i think he has more room to improve if given the chance.

I heard nishida got infected with some unknown disease back in November(?), But recovered since then. So I think he might need more time to get in shape again. Reminds me of last year in Italy, where he gained lots of muscles and was in shape during world championship and the vnl 2022. Aside from that, I do see Miyaura improving so he might show us his strength for team Japan.

You're right Ishikawa and Ran Takahashi were now leading their team as we all witnessed in this match. Takahashi had improved so much an outstanding performance since he joined the Italian league. And Nishida? Oh yes, he's not in good form. His performance declined but hopefully he'll be back to his former angles

​@@jojomarz385OP and setter position have always a rotation replacement that's why you can see nishida and sekita subbing out.,while the OH barely sub out depend on the situation,like if their not doing well or coach want them to rest but if not they well continued playing...and yes hopefully nishida can get back to his playing accuracy.

Yūki’s offense and Tomo and ran’s defense carried their team to win against the asian rivals. Yuki wasn’t joking about winning against Iran, keep that ranking for OQT and be at the top4. Nishida has been off since JTEKT. MBs were playing well too.

I know it sounds disrespectful but the person who titled it wasn’t wrong. Yuki was the top point scorer of the match, with 22-23 points and with attacks in 73%. So yes it is seen as disrespectful but yuki did “destroy” iran
