Yūki Ishikawa (石川祐希, Ishikawa Yūki, born 11 December 1995) is a Japanese male professional volleyball player from Okazaki City, Aichi Prefecture.
The Japan men's national volleyball team (Japanese: 男子バレーボール日本代表) represents Japan in international volleyball competitions and friendly matches, governed by Japan Volleyball Association.
Their nickname is "RYUJIN NIPPON (龍神 NIPPON)", meaning "Japanese Dragon God" or "Dragon God of Japan" in Japanese.

I observed in this match that in the start, Ishikawa receives less sets from Sekita but in the latter part when Japan is crumbling, Ishikawa gain more sets. Truly, if you're in doubt and in trouble, just give the set to Ishikawa for he will deliver. Ishikawa is the undesputed ace of Japan.😉

I think quite a lot of people underestimated the Chinese team in this game against Japan but this match just showed their impressive strength and fighting spirit. They played really well and probably also reminded Japan some things they still need to continue working on.

I totally agree. And I gotta admit, I thought this was gonna be easier for Japan, but in set 3 I thought China was going to win the game. They did great. It's not easy to play against Japan technical spikes, and yet the Chinese players did an incredible work on those blocks. What a great game

Most of us Nippon fans in the arena were almost in tears during the entire set 4. China really did their best and everyone thought they'd give Japan a taste of loss. I won't forget this day ever. Ran, Ishikawa and Kento carried the game since Nishida is marked by China's blockers. This match made me realize that Coach Blain is indeed the perfect coach for Japan. He knows his team so well, played his cards right and made adjustments and sacrifices then and there. We saw Nishida cheering for his teammates from the sidelines and we felt really bad coz that's the only thing he can do at that time. In the end, they won and proved that they are indeed the best in VNL. Big congratulations! 🎉

I don't know how after amazing matches like these, Yuki hasn't gotten any MVPs. I don't know what criteria they take to choose them but it's frustrating.😢. This one was obtained by Ran, he is a great player but in this match he did more Ishi, so sad. Edit: He finally had justice and won the MVP in the game against the Netherlands!!

Ishikawa top attacker and scorrer and sometimes best receiver and blocker of the team too but never got an mvp. I think they choose ran because he has the loudest cheers. Yamamoto is the best digger and receiver in majority of their matches too but wasnt named mvp. But when it's ran that saves the ball, suddenly his fans claim he deserves mvp 🤣

Watching this live gave me such a goosebumps. I know that both teams are gonna be competitive but that was a good show from both of them. The first sets really scared me coz the plays aren't coming together and i really thought they will really lose the match but they still showed their outstanding performance and amazing talent. Putting Miyaura and motoki during 3rd set was the best move coz the game flow change there. Being on the crowd was sooo stressful tho 🤣 we can feel the frustration of the players still a good game!
