The Haas looked fast on the straights or rather RB looked really slow. given DRS should give you like 15 km/h or sth of extra speed and Dani was really close coming out of the last corner + extra grip should have allowed for him to break later and get on the throttle earlier he was still unable to attack. Not sure if yuki could have done it either. At the end of the day they created pointless drama, might as well have let their drivers fight over the 0 points. The only world where this move made sense is if RB thinks that a P12 would possibly be their best finish this year and they expect to have 0 points at the end of the season in which case the highest result would decide the position.

If he won't - I might. I'm not even raging about "Oh this is Daniel's fault" or "Oh Yuki's whining" It's the strategy. It was a bad call and they didn't switch back. That's it, cut and dry. I hope he doesn't give up so early, look at him in that interview - the betrayal. I hope it gets better or it might be like that Trident F2 driver who sobbed on radio that his team never believed in him because they sabotaged him constantly. Yuki had a much greater weekend than Ricciardo, anybody would be upset to give up a position if it is literally pointless. Unfortunately more often than not your reaction to stupid calls are questioned, not the call itself. Teachable moment, but Yuki will be back stronger. This guy tries his best and is the senior driver of his team, Ricciardo made a hell of a lot of money by switching teams for years and now all of a sudden "he is home, healthy, feeling great and smiling again". There is always such an overreaction to this type of in race conflict between the driver and the team. Drivers, all drivers, from Verstappen to Vettel to Hamilton to Alonso, have either flat out ignored team orders to allow teammate to pass, or been very angry, loudly, when following them. It is a race, not a team sport in terms of the driver. They are highly competitive and absolutely locked when mid racing. I would have a problem with any driver not responding like Yuki and the others have. That says they don’t care and don’t have the competitive edge needed. Nobody did anything wrong. Team orders made sense in the moment. Yuki was angry because he wanted to attack, but ultimately did as asked.
