Love all the Jim Shockey references. I too grew up watching Jim hunt Yukon moose on the outdoor channel. Jim is the OG moose hunter.

I think we all love Jim Shockey, I'm a little older than you Trevor, i was born in 1967. Our dreams never fade, but sometimes when the timing is right and all the hard work is done, our dreams are found, God has our backs and when we least expect it, our prayers are answered, I'm truly happy for you and Steve, what blessing for you guys to share this dream together.. Steve, dude it never gets old to see you get so excited, you are truly worthy of this awesome hunt, God shines through you my friend.. God bless you all Much love and respect 🙏

I love watching hunting content but what I really liked about this one was the clear display of mateship, (Australian term), and the positive attitudes of some average guys living out their dreams. Well done.

Black Bear Friday reminds me of the surprise of having a black bear show up on security cameras and trail cameras in my county this fall, including my cousin’s backyard a few hundred yards off the interstate. The surprise being I live in a section of my state that is a mix of large scale agriculture and small cities and towns. There are black bears here, but they live in areas 100 miles away or more and for one to be photographed where this one was, he or she had to cross a ton of pretty open terrain.
@Bran-don3Ай бұрын
Awesome this is so cool. How do you keep the hair off the meat? Me and my 9 year broke down and processed our first deer and my biggest issue was the hair getting on everything.
@welderoo2 күн бұрын
Something that was told to us years ago was to mainly use the cow call till one answered then do the bull call. And don’t over call every twenty minutes or so but if they answer then immediately answer back. All this info of coarse was spread out over days 😂 every day something would happen and they would be like well if that happens you shoulda done this and so on. We did get a big one (for the area) on the last day of season. Yukon/alaska is one of my dream hunts 🤞🤞🤞 someday another would be an elk. Either one would be almost a full years salary unfortunately.

Cool video guys, thx for sharing the adventure! Do they have the 50" rule in that area? He seemed tall, but??? You should try using a shingle blade in a utility knife to remove the lower leg at the knee joint. The hook shape of the blade makes it easy to cut the ligaments and tendons in the joint.
