That was impressive , she held her emotions in check and stayed focused. IGA need to know that on gras, slice + net play often are the key to victory. I'm surprised, because I know that IGA can execute good drop shots, decent slices and net play, she did it very well in juniors and at the start of her pro career. It's odd that she barely use it now. Anyway, Yulia fully deserved that win, She mopped the floor with her opponent.
@0nFoot10 күн бұрын
It's not odd that she stopped using drop shots. In many ways it has been the key to her many successes in the last two and a half years. One defeat on grass against an inspired opponent doesn't change anything. Watch out for Iga at the Olympics and on the US hardcourts

Not the most gracious way of describing your victory, It takes two to tango in tennis. You cannot say you won it and she had not part in losing it when clearly she was mentally having a breakdown and not keeping it together. Bothe players in tennis will always play a part in the overall result. Her comment did not give a very good impression as a sportswomen, it was rather ungracious and neither humble or modest. Its a shame to see such a comment after a great performance by her, she clearly has some work to do off the court on herself!
