The aztec monkey, Ozomathli was a sevant of Xochiphilli (God of music and dance). Ozomathli representing arts, creativity, and fun. Maybe, in yume nikki, this represent the absurdness and creativeness of a dream, since its also seen in Block World. Or, in this exact event, representing a relief of all tense from other events/area in the game. But, thats just my theory.
