Basically, Mayuri only collects and repairs objects that he deems useful, so all Arrancars other than Charlotte, Dordoni, Cirucci, and Lupi are purified by Soul reaper and remain in the cycle of souls.

In the Canon novel they are alive and still serve as Mayuri's coprse unit + some quincies join them. He does treat them better but still chained.
