I have never tried catfish before, but both of these recipes look so delicious my mouth is watering, of course the best thing about it is the fresh herbs from your yard & fish you used. The catfish is big & meaty, your family must totally enjoy all the things you cook, as my family & i do. Hi Sros, It is so interesting. Note- May I ask you some questions? Is this recipe Cambodian’s one? I have came acros exactly the same one in Thailand; It is called ‘Tom Klong Pla Duk’. Tom Klong means spicy and sour bros made with tamarind leaves and pods (added lime too). Pla Duk means catfish. This recipe has very old history and been consumed in Thailand before the later famuch version Tom Yum. What do you call it in Khmer language, I just wonder that this is the cross culture dish. It is amazing. Thank you.

The salt helps remove the slime on the fish. This can be done with any fish or critter that has a lot of slime on their skin. 🙂
