@Vin Delanos Ehhh, not exactly there buddy. This particular order of animals has been around for 450 MILLION years. Has humanity been around for that long? Have primates even been around for that long? Have MAMMALS been around for that long? The answer is no. Life is constantly evolving and changing and this is an example of a species that has stayed relatively the same for so long. Do some research before you go talking trash because you're the one who looks like an idiot. Also maybe have a rip and chill :D

Can't some of you people just appreciate the different cultures that are all over the world. This is why these videos are Amazing, it teaches " some " of us things we probably thought we would ever see or unknown animals, creatures, etc etc..I understand that some don't know what she's cooking so questions are expected but, when the rude or judgmental comments come in, well that's where I say " some of you just don't or can't appreciate the beauty of different cultures all over the world" it is Amazing to watch and learn from each other.

Lizette Martinez If I were staying there, and my caretaker gave me one of these to eat for dinner, I'd at least try it out of respect. Honestly, I think it looks good with all the vegetables and spices cooked with it. I'd be willing to at least try it. It's something they consider food, so it's not indelible. If it were disgusting, I'd think they wouldn't make it into a dish at all.

Hi SROS ! Thanks for the reply, or whoever job to tap like on each and every comment. A short story I wanna share. I have been a cook for over 3 decades or 35 years. I’m an Asian Filipino. It’s my fetish my favourite to go to the wet market. And for some reason. I always avoided the OCTOPUS 🐙! Maybe that rounded head ? Just simply I don’t know how to clean prep that octopod! Because of you SROS now I know how to deal, clean prep, cook octopus 🐙! Also I noticed every dish that she cook! Always same old ingredients. Galanga. Lemon grass and lime leaves. Other ingredients garlic onions 🧅 are pretty much I always use. O yeah instead of salt 🧂 you use chicken broth . Now I started using and yeah way better than plain salt to taste. I didn’t really start watching your cooking show up till like 5 years ago. Since then I’m hooked I’m a fan of your show. Filipino cooking and thai only difference is lime leaves, isn’t it galanga is like ginger? Chicken base lemon grass makes any dishes yummy 🤤 I use to love hot or thai pepper 🌶 but i had cancer and chemo made my taste buds sensitive to hot peppers 🌶. But I’m a huge fan of you sros and pretty much saw all the cooking episodes. But you’re an awesome cook and I’m sure a great person. Have a good morning in Asia , evening here in North America. .

I've worked with South East Asians (mainly Thai cooks but also Vietnamese and Chinese from Hong-Kong) .. These people do double wash every vegetable.. Sometimes they wash let say shredded cabbage or carrot once and then leave the veggies to soak in clear water over night before washing them again.. They tend to boil bones before making stock (discarding the first water).. They seem to be hygiene obsessed and rightly so, especially when you live in a tropical or sub-tropical country..

@@sebsmith4595 that’s how they are I’m guessing. Garlic 🧄 a root crops same as onions 🧅 but for some reason , she just washed the onions. But not the garlic. It’s all good not an issue. I love anything Asian cuisine. I’m a Filipino who lives in Canada and mostly white, caucasian cuisine. Like bloody steaks haha and I love medium rare steaks 🥩. They say if you know how to read !? Then you can cook just about anything , international’s. But I’m sticking with our own ASIAN culture and cuisine. Ty have a great day here in North America and good night in ASIA PACIFIC! Cheers 🥂

It's rude af to say it's making you sick or that you want to vomit. As for those who are sooo concerned about the horseshoe crab's existence, maybe you want to do a little research before you start commenting. There are four species of horseshoe crabs and I bet the ones who are leaving hateful comments cannot identify which one she is using in the video. Lol. Only the American horseshoe crab is categorized as VULNERABLE, not endangered.

As much as I’m happy to see people talking about how close horseshoe crabs are to being an endangered species. One must also understand that it isn’t people who harvest this animal for food who are hurting the population. But it is people who live in first and second world countries who are causing this issue. United States, Britain, and the E.U are huge harvesters for horseshoe crab just for the blood. So I feel it is unfair to leave comments telling people not to eat something that is a source of food. Instead send such comments and messages to the leaders of our countries. The ones who are simply after this animal for it’s blood. We are the ones hurting the population by draining their blood and then tossing them back in the water like nothing happened. Anyways! Love the video and also people talking about this...prehistoric animal!! Happened all have a great day/night!

It's ok to like or dislike the meal being shown. I looked because it was interesting. What people fail to realize is that believe it or not, no one owes you a video. How can 5.4 thousand people even move their mouse to do a thumbs down. How many of them have shared anything. Most of them would not even give a crippled crab a crutch if they owned a lumber yard. Yet they criticize others. Hell I would not eat what she just cooked at gun point. But I am thankful that she took the time to educate me as to what others eat. So why not a thumbs up, and a thank you. Try it sometimes.

Brother Nkosi nobody has to do what you want them to do. Morality is subjective. It’s a fact in life that some people do not want to learn. They are completely and utterly adapted to the modern world, perhaps they think this way of cooking is a waste of time. Or it could be done better. They don’t like the cooking of seafood. Don’t like the techniques. It’s not for you to judge or to know. By complaining about now 5.5k people that they criticise things, while at the same time criticising them...do you not see the hypocrisy in that?

@@HayleyMoody - "Morality is subjective"? So murder and rape are okie dokie if you just want it to be? Taste in food might be subjective, but moral relativism is merely weak-mindedness. I guess morality is relative to whether it benefits your stance or not.

I am always perplexed at how people can purposely click to watch a video like this and then feel so upset that they take it upon themselves to down-vote it. I mean, I could understand if the video were clickbait for something else or in some way failed to deliver what was promised, but here, certainly, you get what you came for. And although I wouldn't have ever considered eating horseshoe crab before, her preparation here certainly makes me curious enough to want to give it a try (though getting one's hands on horseshoe crabs would prove a tad more involved).
@BrotherNkosi

@@@HayleyMoody You somewhat contradict yourself by doing what you are accusing me of. (Criticize my criticism ). Actually we agree on a lot or are in very close agreement You said " It’s a fact in life that some people do not want to learn." I would only phrase it a little differently " It’s a SAD fact in life that some people do not want to learn. While I do not know you I am happy that you are able to make thoughtful, respectful arguments..I like that . My only suggestion is to try to avoid philosophical fallacies when you address a persons comments; straw man being one of them. Most of the time when I make a comment, I do it with the grandiose idea of making the world a better place. (Based on my subjective view of what is better 😎 ) I have my own chanel and I engage people in the marketplacee of ideas. I welcome those who challengee my ideas and hopely others welcome my challenge. Having said all that You are right in saying Morality is subjective. Not only that, it is also relative. (But should not be reduced to moral relativism) Having said that, none of those things preclude a person from making a comment. Especially in a forum designed for comment. The fact that the comment criticized another comment is no violation of decorum. Based on the reasons I said I make comments s in the first place, it was in keeping with my gradios goals of making the world a better place. Following in the tradition of subjective moralist 😉 like MLK and Malcolm X to name a couple. Take care Hayley, hope to speak to you again.

@@barbarajohnson1497 So are lobsters. They are related to lobsters too. I was referring to the fact that it was a anthopod. We eat anthropods. Also humans eat the eggs of lots of animals. even crabs. We also eat fish eggs and others. the average horseshoe crab carries around 120,000 at a time. when released into the water table they tend to end up being consumed by smaller creatures or whales before they grow large enough to make it to the sea floor and then they have to deal with animals that hunt for shelled animals.

We're more closely related to starfish than we are to squid, that doesn't make us starfish. While horseshoe crabs are more closely related to spiders than they are crabs, they aren't even arachnids, instead both arachnids and horseshoe crabs belong to the clade prosomapoda, which in turn belongs to the arthropod phylum which also contains crustaceans such as crabs.
