Easy “Key Lime” Pie with Regular Limes
This refreshing pie is just as delicious as a traditional Key lime pie, but it's much easier to make at home! We use readily available Persian limes (also known as regular limes) instead of hard-to-find Key limes. Plus, this recipe skips the super tart bottled juice for a more balanced flavor.

Easier than using bottled Key lime juice
Tastes like a classic Key lime pie
This recipe features a simple graham cracker crust filled with a creamy mixture of Greek yogurt, sweetened condensed milk, and fresh lime juice and zest. Topped with whipped cream and a lime slice, it's the perfect summer dessert!
Tips for Success:
Use a store-bought graham cracker crust for even faster prep.
Grab a can of whipped cream to save time.
This pie makes 8 to 10 servings and comes together in about 45 minutes, with a chilling time of at least 3 hours.
INGREDIENTS:
Crust:
1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs (about 12 crackers)
⅓ cup packed light brown sugar
4 tablespoons melted unsalted butter
Filling:
28 ounces of sweetened condensed milk (2 or 3 cans, depending on size)
1 cup plain Greek yogurt (unsweetened, 2% or whole milk fat)
1 tablespoon grated lime zest
¾ cup fresh lime juice
Topping:
1 cup cold heavy cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon grated lime zest
8-10 thin lime slices
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Combine graham cracker crumbs, brown sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl. Mix well, then press firmly into the bottom and sides of a 9-inch pie pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then let cool on a wire rack. Reduce oven temperature to 350°F (175°C).
Whisk together sweetened condensed milk, yogurt, lime zest, and juice in a large bowl. Pour the filling into the cooled crust and bake for 15 minutes, or until almost set. Let cool at room temperature for 30 minutes, then refrigerate for at least 3 hours to chill completely.
Whip the heavy cream with powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Top the chilled pie with whipped cream, then garnish with lime zest and slices. Serve cold.
Make-Ahead Tip:
The crust can be made a day ahead, but store it separately from the filling to prevent sogginess.
