I would've/ could've never been the person i am today, if i had not experienced everything i did..its impossible! If someone would've told me i would be where i am today, loving/respecting me, having accomplished everything i have, that i would be genuinely happy in so many areas of my own life, and in a healthy loving marriage...i would've laughed in their face... Listen, your today doesn't ever determine your tommorow so never be fooled by a troublesome period in life...never fall into the snare of lies, that evil little voice that sends you negativity, anxiety, and doubt.... You have to always remember that what looks like step back is really a set up for you to make leaps forward.. You just cant see it now..but I promise it will all get better (sounds cliche but its true). Ladies, This too shall pass... And one day you will be sharing your own testimony and wondering why you ever spent time wiping your tears over someone that wasnt supposed to be part of your future blessings (not that they are bad/good etc its just some paths are ment to cross not connect and that has to be okay at the end of the day). In fairness, i know the grieving of a relationship is like a death, its a process so please be kind to yourself during this time..adore yourself (nows the time). I am excited for each of you (especially your future selves) and i wish you all the best. Keep those beautiful heads pointed forward n up....not stopping to look backwards but forging ahead believing you have a positive future awaiting you (in all areas of your life may you be blessed).

This is a sad thing that persists. the best way is to encourage girls from a young age - which is why representation is so important. The last time I visited home, there was this billboard promoting a new beauty company - not sure if in Malaysia also, called 'Natasha' (I think) and I noticed it on a billboard immediately cos one model was beautifully brown. Indonesia has never had a major Papuan model or actress for example. And the TV models are always pale, while girls I saw all around are more like Yuna.

I've been looking for this song for the LONGEST TIME EVER! I'm Spanish, & started fighting tears as much as I can. Not because of the lyrics but of the message about arranged marriage in Asia, not long ago I had a heart to heart convo with my childhood best friend & she was talking about how she has to keep her relationship a secret from her family since her parents are "strict brown parents". Her boyfriend is Spanish & just seeing her get nervous about telling her parents about her relationship down the road really breaks my heart, because the arrange marriage topic slowly has been thrown into convos lately. 💔 Edit: we’re no longer friends. I cut ties with them, but I do wish for their safety and happiness.

I don't understand with Malaysians actually. I'm Indonesian and been living here in Malaysia for awhile. In my case, when I asked my friends about her, they don't really get excited and tend to change the topic. Like, they supposed to be proud because Yuna is 👏🏻 freaking 👏🏻 talented 👏🏻 (+ she's pretty and IMO, bring Malaysian's music to a whole another level)

Basically. Her kind of music is not really what malaysian been listening. Does not mean its bad. Personally i don't bother listening to yuna also. But I respect her anyway. Cause idk why. It doesn't give me that enthusiastic feeling, rather just sleepy n dreamy. Cuz u know, we listen to music that fits our mood.

It's probably she doesn't promote in Malaysia much. She literally doesn't have Malay song promoted in Malaysia for years now. People will move on to the next breakthrough Artist after a while. When she does release a Malay song/single her songs top charts and won awards just fine.
