We need this Yundi Li with dedication and sophistication. The talents and purity are too wasting not to be shown to the audience. Come back Li please. So far, This ballade are touching me most , along with the versions with Richard-Hamelin at Chopin competition 2015. Li's interpretation is very straight and elegant while Ricahrd-Hamelin gives lightness and softness more.

Graciasssss!!

Very good performance of Yundi who is always equal to him-even, ie excellent with Chopin. I love his Chopin interpretations and I can't forget his wonderful perform on the International Chopin Competition in Warsaw in 2000 where he won the 1st prize .. Many thanks Angelica for sharing this video.

This was filmed during his selection of a Steinway for his recital on 4/19 at the Royal Festival Hall in London. He started with four pianos. There is another video showing him deciding on the final two. One sounds "too thin, but has beautiful colours". The other one was "too bright, and the keys are easier to play". He mentioned it may take him another hour or two to decide. Which one did he pick to play this piece and which one did he finally select for the recital?

+Lea Meine I guess the "too bright, and the keys are easier to play" ;) I guess it :D

Love Yundi but this lacked a lot of passion that should have been there. Probably was just practicing and not giving it his all right here, so I won't count it against him.

Does he understand, what he's playing? I doubt it.
@leameine77248 жыл бұрын
He understands enough to be invited to be a juror at the 17th Chopin International Competition in Warsaw in 2015. Have you been invited to be a juror?

yeah +lea meine I agree with you :D

One would hope he does, he won the 14th International Chopin Competition in 2000, so he probably knows something.
