Thank You Richard, that cleared up my jumbled font issue. After the reboot, I still do not have a way to change font size, but it all works now, so I am going to leave it alone. Guessing the newest firmware updates deleted font size changes.

I enjoyed the video and learned a lot from it. You should really consider writing a manual - called say 'Typhoon H for Dummies' so that keen amateurs like myself have a little light but useful bed-time reading down here in Portglenone....
@happyfox7114 жыл бұрын
No, don't do that - that's exactly the thing I see a lot of in the comments here - a big hexacopter is a hazard in the hands of dummies that don't even read or understand the manual, or buy this as their first drone ever. It's asking for trouble, not just for themselves, but for the people around them and the whole drone community being hit by more rules as idiots crashes into people and property. Nobody should buy or fly a drone - especially not this big and fast - before they really understand how it works. I agree the marketing (especially of other drones) may make it seem like a baby can do it out of the box, but seriously - that's not how it works. Reality is you can actually kill a baby if you hit it in 70+km/h with this hexacopter. And usually being a little more lucky, this is not even on their mind. All they care about is their expensive bird crashed, and it's the drones fault. I'm not talking about you, but take a look at the comments here, and you'll think you're at a dummie convention, and it really hurts the community.

I got involved with this, starting with the Gimbal Calibration that failed. The camera will no longer work as it should. Messing around with the channel settings, i may have made it worse. At the end of your video, you just bring up the channel setting screen and the video ends. Can you send me the settings for the camera switches and pan button. I believe the switches do mix with the others switches and pan button. I just need to see exactly what the settings are for each one. Thanks.

Did u ever get that firmware to update ur GPS up and working. Because Imma having that problem with acquiring GPS signal and I did all the up dates and still acquiring signal. I really don't kniw why that is.
@RichardGilmoreDronetech4 жыл бұрын
Hey man. That was a long time ago now lol. But no firmware update never worked. Ended up having to get a new GPS module and that fixed it. Think you'll most likely have to do the same. If yours still says Acquiring, did you try setting the H outside in the open for 20-30 minutes powered up to see if it will lock?? Sometimes it can take a while, especially if it's been sitting not used for a while. Good luck.

Hi, I did this reset and it removed the factory app for the typhoon. Any idea how to get it back?
@RichardGilmoreDronetech5 жыл бұрын
Turn on the ST16. Go to Model Select. Tap "Typhoon H" the go to camera select. And select CGO3 PRO.. Then. Go to the bind screen and rebind. Note. To get the H into bind mode turn on the H. Tilt it forwards and back more the 45 degrees.. More then 3 times forward and back until the LEDs on the H flash orange..

Hey - thanks for doing this video. I've something interesting on J1 control. It is centered like all the other axis. However, if I move J1 it up or down with the stick control, the "Final output monitor" shows the +/- value to slowly go up and then when I release the control (back to center) it slowly goes back to % 0. Does this mean the J1 axis control is dirty or needs servicing? Thanks! In the calibration tests, from the six times tap About menu, all controls calibrate successfully except J1 shows fail.
@RichardGilmoreDronetech4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it sounds like that Potentiometer is definitely playing up. You can either completely remove it and clean it with plastic safe contact cleaner, or before you do anything else. Wiggle this particular stick around (quite hard. But not hard enough to break it lol) wiggle it back and forth to the end of travel. Keep doing this for approx 30 seconds, then test and calibrate. This slow movement is a sure sign the potentiometer is dirty.. If wiggling the stick isn't enough, you will need to open the ST16 And clean it up.
@aerugoprime75564 жыл бұрын
@@RichardGilmoreDronetech Yes - in the end, I opened up the ST16 for the first time. Removed the offending potentiometer and cleaned it. While I was at it, I touched up the solder joints on all potentiometers - terrible solder job. All glazed with micro-fractures. Thanks for the quick response - I'm going to check out your other videos as well.
@happyfox7114 жыл бұрын
@@aerugoprime7556 It's probably not dirty, only loose. It's a common fault on these. The PCB with the pot on it is a little bit too small to clamp down tight with the two screws. This leaves a tiny wiggle room, that will show up exactly as the symptoms you described. Many Typhoon owners including myself have discovered this problem. A quick fix - If you just pull the stick to the sides and let go a couple of times it often return to 0. But it will come sneaking back. A drop of glue or a piece of paper is enough to eliminate this completely, when it comes back, cause I bet my hat it will (if it disappeared at all, it was from demounting/mounting it) A loose pot is a very simple thing to discover, and fix. But sometimes someone on youtube will tell you the resulting drift must be the compass not calibrated etc, and it becomes a wild goose chase.

I got some troubles during flight before do the hard reset had "compass warning" almost immediately take off the H. I did and get better now, but not enough landing gear don't respond and have till some compass warning till. I am very disappointment about Yuneec and Typhon H. From the beginning I got troubles and crash twice. I try to get my money back and they said NOT. I bought this stuff in Germany. What can I do? I am from Venezuela
@happyfox7114 жыл бұрын
Buy a cheap kit and build a little quadcopter yourself, and learn how it works, then you can understand and use your H with satisfaction, and not crash it, but fix it yourself if anything happens. Many of the commenters here should never have bought a Typhoon H, it's stupid to buy a >1000$ drone without the experience, and from the questions, they never even read the manual. It does not fly itself. No matter how many drones you have already. YOU MUST READ THE MANUAL, every drone is different, and you'll maybe f.ex.understand why your legs don't come down in this and that mode etc. if you didn't damage them with your flying. Don't blame the drone for pilot errors - that's why they don't take it back - it's a fantastic drone and very advanced. Not for beginners at all - it's a big hexacopter that can seriously injure somebody if you don't know exactly what you're doing, and hit a person in 70+km/h. Even if you are experienced, if you don't do the job of understanding it completely before you start to fly, bad things will happen.

Yuneec CS told me that when the ST16 and Typhoon H are bound the right stick cause a beep when you touch it in any direction. Do you agree?
@RichardGilmoreDronetech7 жыл бұрын
br011075 yes. it can be the left stick also. depending on the mode it is set up in. but yes. if the H is dis-armed. sitting waiting to be armed as per say. if it detects any "ROLL OR PITCH" inputs. the H will sound with continuous beeping until the pitch and roll are central again. if your H is beeping. and you are not touching the stick. it may just be that the ST16 requires a calibration...or..the potentiometer is faulty for either one. check your Hardware monitor to be sure all the sticks and switches are moving correctly. the green lines should move in linear fashion with any inputs given. if they don't return to centre when the stick does and seems to have some sort of lag them most likely the potentiometer is faulty. sometimes all it take is a good wiggle around with the stick and it will work again. other times it will need replacing. but yes. the H emits a noise on sensing any PITCH or ROLL inputs when not armed. hope that helps.
@br0110757 жыл бұрын
Hi Richard, thanks fo quick reply. But .... the H emits a noise on sensing any PITCH or ROLL inputs when armed (H and ST16 are armed /bound)

br011075 yes. are your motors spinning?? if the motors are not spinning it makes a noise. if they are spinning. it should not make any sound. are all your firmwares matching and up to date??
@br0110757 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have the latest FW installed, both on ST16 and H. When I noticed the noise the motors were not spinning. I take your advice and let the motors spin. Let's see what happen
@RichardGilmoreDronetech7 жыл бұрын
br011075 yes. once you start the motors start. it will not make a noise. it is just a warning alarm for your stick incase you try to start with say..... forward stick and cause a tip over etc.
