It’s because T-Pain is just a normal ass dude. He might know the streets but he doesn’t put himself out there as a street dude, his whole persona is a fun loving square dude that watches anime, plays video games, and drinks…a lot. And if you’re black you should know how the black community is, especially around that time. People that live life of a square get looked down on by some of those that are in the streets because they don’t have the hubris that the street dudes like to show. But as the saying goes hubris leads to downfall. Flip, Big Block etc. are examples of that.

Most times it's just about relationships and how you treat people. The next couple years after that interaction, T Pain was arguably the hottest artist in the game. I'm sure if he wanted to meet Flip that bad he would have thrown him on a track. I can actually hear Flip's laid back flow on "Buy You a Drank" but it went to where it was supposed to go. Flip is talented and seems like a cool guy but why not just dap him and even laugh at him? Mannnn I can’t wait to hear Lil Flip response to this..and this makes perfect sense because why T-pain ain’t called lil flip to be on the chopped and screwed remix when he had all the main rappers from H-town on it..
@mr.figgers70912 жыл бұрын
Right, this comment is an understatement! Flip would've been perfect for Chopped and Screwed. At that time T Pain was the biggest in the Music Game.

naw everything is not for everybody remember that fam one hit for one person doesnt mean it would be a hit for another person . lil flip and joc really were complete different rappers no diss to joc but flip was a different animal on that mic . remember joc in this interview kind of explained why that song was a big hit and was meant for him with that autotuned finger snap club music which was really trendy at the time . Flip was never really that guy if you listen to him even his mainstream hits felt unnatural because he was a legit underground rapper first

Jock is literally the only man on the love and hip hop franchise I respect. He's the only one who presented himself real and his real self is so humble, respectful n respected, great sense of humor, not overtly sensitive but not overtly masculine either. Not saying he's without flaws but he never came across as trying to be someone or something he wasn't

That Lil Flip story sound about right… He could’ve made millions Collaborating with T-Pain. And that show he’s talking about in Dallas, I was definitely there for the show and the after party and at the time T Pain wasn’t as known yet as artist like Jeezy, TI, Flip and Joc. It was so many hot artist in the building it was crazy that night. I’m just shocked he remembered that night bc anybody who was at that after party will never forget it.
