@flyguy. Can't forget what he represented, but that means he's not a pretender or poseur. And he's saying that he's even shocked at how it has turned. Speaks with some authority on that scene, back then and now. Liked that he gave a Charleston White shoutout. Charleston throws out a lot of truth about the insanity going on in the community, when he's not clowning. He pisses me off, but then drops some street wisdom when you least expect it. Yung Joc is still young enough to reach the youngbloods, but he sees the damage being done. Too bad Tupac got too caught up in the game, and fell for the rope-a-dope. He could be a positive influence now, had he lived. He'd be in his mid-fifties. Modern players might be calling him dusty. Our people are represented by more than the hood. More than the hustlers, hoes, and pimps. We have business owners, doctors, and lawyers. Shouldn't forget that, but we glorify the gangster life. I'm impressed by this brother, and his street wisdom. Maybe you should listen a bit more closely before writing him off.

@@garyspence2128 I agree, but a lot of y'all, especially black folks feel that this is the culture that we ushered in. So therefore this is who we are as an identity because y'all keep telling black folks that this is the prime example of us when it's truly not. He is a bit of a pretender and he is a bit of a poser. If this was coming from somebody who never lived the lifestyle and who has a good moral center than I listen and take what he says more to heart than I do. Somebody who looks like he's still in the game

as a dark skin black woman, i can see beyond sexy red and suki's shananigans. I see that they hate themselves and may tend to think they have to act this way for approval because they may think they aren't worthy of being paid attention to without the distasteful act. Not saying that it isn't hard for black women but dark skin women always dealt with more criticism/judgment/bullying/etc and that can create low self esteem. I just wish they wouldn't do this and it's no hate in my heart even saying this. Conduct yourself better that's all

That might be a small part of it but it's bigger than skin color. There are lots of light girls acting the same way. The problem is the absence of fathers in these children's lives. Every little girl wants to make their daddy proud. The opposite of that is tragic.

Ironically in the 90s C. Delores Tucker and many other strong, black women and men said the same thing about hip-hops gangsta rap element. They were Criticized by the culture and called sellouts. But in reality he knew if something did not change we as a group of people who listen to this music would be in trouble. 30 years later, look at the results. We learn through music. Music teaches how to think, how to dance, what dances to do, how to dress, about sex, how to have sex, what to do, and what not to do in dating, how to be a player, how to be a ho, why it’s ok to be a ho, how to be a lowlife , how to rob people, how to sell drugs, and so many other things that are horrible. The morality and love that was in the music of Motown, has been replaced with a animalistic type of music. And it is destroying the youth. And ironically the older artist, many of them are starting to realize that now Rap and the R&B is extremely vulgar, and it is marketed at children, and it is corrupting, perverting, and destroying their minds. When you see little girls in kindergarten singing. “ every good girl needs a little thug.” it should tell us all we are in trouble.

Cardi was putting out ratchet music 2015 thru 2020 but was never called out on it because she was a pretty Latina Megan was putting out ratchet music 2020. Hell her and Cardi made wap. But 6 foot tall Megan got upset where her lil 4 foot leprechaun she was secretly dating was tryna talk to Kylie Jenner behind her back. That doesn’t sound like anything she raps about. 2:58 you take the mother out the family and keep the anchor I am positive society would be better than now. That’s why they removed the man first and not the woman. We don’t know what we don’t know but you target the strength first in battle. Men would have made it happen as they historical have. Don’t let the last 50 years fool you.

Bull..men abandoned ship. Skipped out. Dodging child support or marriage, but left the moms with raising the kids. Punk move. Without the moms, we wouldn't have any community. Lying to yourself and us, brother. We abdicated the throne, and cut ties.On to the next one. Met one brother who had ten kids by six women. No idea if he even saw his kids caused he'd done a ten year bid in state pen. Not a killer, but in and out of jail, when he wasn't knocking some other poor woman up. Too much of that going on. And did everyone forget that birth control is still available. Abortion bans don't include banning the pill or condoms....yet...

You don’t want your kids exposed to this music? Asking Joc these questions is the right approach because their attitude is artists is “it’s not my responsibility to raise your kids. You don’t want kids listening to this music, then stop them.” Joc plays all these songs on his radio show 😅😅

The problem with todays rap music period is that … they not promoting it as entertainment!!! Everything is so called real shit … from this so called drill music to this hoe music!! Growing up there was gangster music and female artists promoting sex but it was more entertaining rather then I gotta be like this and that! … and also the people who rapped like that actually can rap and didn’t just stay in one lane.. now and days it’s just slut slut slut slut and drill drill drill drill no versatility at all … just garbage music across the board

I’m not sure where Joc was going with the missing father point .. because in traditional roles the mother was supposed to raise the children.. the way men and women turning out now .. debunks that narrative. You definitely need 2 active parents .. not just man providing and paying all the bills .. he literally has to raise the child… not what our grandparents did either.. actually be involved
