His lyrics speak to me to me on such a deep level that I almost feel like I could have wrote them. Funnily enough at around 22 I basically looked partly the spit of him (mixed with Billie Joe Armstrong and Jacoby Shaddix 🤣). Part of watching him makes me really sad though, because I can't help thinking "that should be me". Now I am nearing 30 and finding it hard to muster the motivation and confidence to continue in music which was my passion for years. This hasn't been helped by the ongoing threat of things never being the same again.

You know what drew me to him was his personality. I stumbled upon one of his interviews without knowing anything about his music and was immediately captivated by his aura. This was a few months ago. Looking back on that now, I realize that I saw in him and his music apart of me , I was led to believe was unacceptable, that I suppressed and in some ways I was completely unaware of.

I saw him open for KFlay almost 3 years ago now. So hard to believe. No one had made it to the show yet. I got there early because I drove 3 hours. Yungblud was the opener and no one had heard of him. Most people were just hanging out not paying attention. There was something about him. I was mesmerized the MOMENT I saw him and heard his voice. I just knew that something was truly amazing about this precious human. My love was immediate! The best thing was learning more and more about him over the years and finding out that not only was his MUSIC so personal to me, I relate to so much from mental health issues to the loneliness. I’m so thankful I showed up early to a show and found Dom. I’ve seen him about 8 times since and just drive to his shows alone. BUT I never feel alone surrounded by everyone that loves Dom. He truly does give me (and so many others) that sense of having a family. That’s something I’ve never had before 🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤💕💕💕💕💕

I literally cried around the end of this interview because everything he said reminded me of myself. He talks about his ADHD and how it impacts him just like mine has done to myself. But while he accepts his ADHD i’m still in the process of accepting mine. The reason why YUNGBLUD inspires me is because he is so outgoing and doesn’t care about who he offends cause he is being himself and I hope one day I could do the same. I also really love his music and the meaning behind some of it.

I've never hated my ADHD, but my peers sure did. I was always trying to fit in to make friends, and I still hate myself to a degree, it's definitely gotten better. I move around and raise my voice. One minute I'm fine, then the next I'm overthinking why I just yelled or got too excited. I feel him, and I love it when YUNGBLUD shares his stories.

I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and now my son. I am very energetic and talk a lot and some people hate that about me, even my husband. You made me cry. Thank you. It is ok to be me and it is okay for my son to be himself. He is 7 years old. I teach him to be himself. We are both on medication for ADHD, only to help us focus.

I love this. I was diagnosed with ADHD in third grade, I inherited it from my father. We were always very close because of it. My mom did not have it and she always wanted me to be perfect no matter the situation. "perfect student, perfect daughter, perfect athlete, perfect kid" she wanted me to be so much. I was not perfect in the slightest and still am not she yelled a lot. She never understood what it was like in my head. My dad explained it perfectly to me in the car on day " in brain is like a race car except they forgot to put the breaks in" . It is very hard my mother is still really tough on me. All my life i have been very average never great at anything and she hated that even though i worked so hard to make her happy. Eventually this year i gave up on pleasing her and started to tend to myself a little. I started to realized that i have awful anxiety, i couldn't deal with certain social situation but i also had speration anxiety. Watching this makes me more comfortable in my own skin. Knowing that someone very famous isn't exactly perfect but is at the same time. Thank you so much.

SAME, I'm more in the inattentive range and I didn't get diagnosed til like a yr and a half ago. Apparently, a lot of women and girls get diagnosed later in life (when life gets more difficult or you first move out) It's how a lot of us were raised and how our anxiety manifest, I think. At work, I'm incredibly quiet and slow to talk, but I get so much more bubbly by myself or around those I know. lol sometimes I wish my ADHD was more apparent and visible because it'd make some things easier I guess.
