I'm replying to a comment of a comment because what you said honestly seemed so childish! of course i'm not butthurt, I just find your arrogance pretty annoying :/ Also, I know the song isn't deep. It states its message nice and clearly, and there's nothing deep about it. Thats not the point. in fact, that was even related to what I said. You decided to get all butthurt (using your words here..) and start complaining about the way a random girl on the internet phrased her comment. You're really giving me feminist vibes here, but....malinst? Male feminist? doesnt matter. you annoy me :/

Samantha Villa: unfortunately you don’t know the difference between success and fame. I have all the success that I want - without being famous...and I’m happy for that. You probably like the fake side of live: 15 minutes of fame, wanna be people with fake bodies (plastic titties, tattoos, imitating the mass and selfmade eyebrows). Always hunting for Likes and more Likes - just because they believe it will give them self-assurance. But in fact, they become copies of other fake persons. Sleep well.

Nope friends, sometimes not even an YES is an actual YES. If you're under the effect of alcohol or drugs or whatever might it be, you're not completely aware of what you're doing. It's important to understand that. Consent needs to be given while sober, lucid.

@Karma-ji6ud
@Karma-ji6ud 3 жыл бұрын
That Depends on the situation. If u both got drunk and originally intended to have something happen while you two were sober in the first place it's a different story. If the scenario is in a club or a public place, it'd be better to just stay with the person and make sure nothing happens to them, like keep them away from the drinks and have them rest somewhere away from people until they sober up a bit. Maybe even find out if they came alone or with friends who you can contact to get them to stay with her or take her home, or you could offer to take her home yourself or get her into a hotel that she can stay in for the night.

you put that so well. and i’m so sorry for all that happened to you. i don’t know if this counts as SA, but when i was camping last year my friends second cousins and their dad was there and we we’re playing soccer. this dad was about 50. i was 12. we were playing soccer, and i’d played for 5 years, so i was ok at it. he called me star. when i got the ball, he came up really close behind me and put his hands on my waist and like squeezed? and i don’t know if that was him being creepy or if he’s a touchy felt person, but i was uncomfortable and scared to say anything in case he meant well. the catcalling, the harassment, it needs to stop. when one of my friends was 13 she had a boy her age sexually harass her online, and i’m not gonna go into what he said to her, but it got to the point she was scared to sleep incase he knew where she lived and came in the middle of the night. i made her go to the counselor, and our teacher and his parents got involved. our teacher was horrified, but his parents just thought he was being a boy and didn’t understand.

@@chloe-dr4rk I get where you're coming from, but I really don't think it's that rare at all. I think that men are just less likely to report it as it's emasculating to them. This is why I like the fact that the #metoo movement isn't gender specific. I think if more men came forward the stat's would be much closer. I feel if you're in a position to shed light on this subject, like in this music video, that all victims should be accounted for because as I said it's not spoken about enough if at all. I love that a 19 year guy is so aware and talking about it. Watching this I know this has happened to me. I remember being at a club and yes I was drunk and my last clear memory is doing some shots and then I have very hazy memories much like this clip of me stumbling around with a guy and the next day I woke up and I couldn’t even tell you his name. Scariest night of my life.

For him it was just a bit of fun and not rape bc she didn't say no right? she didn't even show in the slightest that she didn't want it so ist not that bad right? She was drunk after all. And he was drunk too so he didn't really fully understood what he was doing and when he was sober he regretted it bc he then understood what was actually going on.. YUNGBLUD has changed my life. I'm a victim of sexual abuse (and I'm only 14) so this song really helps me or at least society is aware of the things that go on in the real world. I'm going to play this song at my school on Tuesday for all the boys/girls who think that a short skirt, croptop, and a thong is consent. And for the girls/boys that think a pair of skinny Jean's and a tank top is consent. Consent is verbal not physical. If she/he doesn't know what their talking about or are out of their mind then LEAVE THEM ALONE. They obviously have no control over their mind or what they say. Probably won't remember the next morning, and panic. Edit: A little poem I found further down in the comments. No matter what we wear, No matter where we go, Yes means yes, And no means no.

Hannah Inspiration rubbish.. I've given drunken consent countless times. Are you suggesting that I've been sexually assaulted?
@hannahinspiration9021
@hannahinspiration9021 6 жыл бұрын
Greg See theoretically, yes. Drunk consent is not a thing, otherwise everyone who would want you to sign a contract would get you shitfaced, make you sign it and then you might have a contract that you never wanted. But, if you don’t feel like you got assaulted you’re okay.
@gregs9584
@gregs9584 6 жыл бұрын
I see. Well that raises quite a few more questions. What other decisions can i make under the influence and not be held responsible? Can i decide to drive my car and mow down a pedestrian? beat my girlfriend? rob a store? Or is responsibility only absolved from decisions I make about sexual contact?
@hannahinspiration9021
@hannahinspiration9021 6 жыл бұрын
Greg See not being able to give consent and not being held accountable are two different things. It seems like you simply don’t know what consent is.
@gregs9584
@gregs9584 6 жыл бұрын
Consent is deciding to give permission. It's a decision. Your first comment suggest that drunk people can't make decisions. They most certainly can. Sometimes it's the wrong decision, but they are still responsible for making it. Suggesting that myself, and almost every adult on the planet has 'technically' been a victim of sexual assault because they got laid while drunk at some point or other is ridiculous and diminishes real victims.

Yes, girls SHOULD be able to get drunk without worrying that someone will hurt them when they are vulnerable. We SHOULD be able to forget our wallet at a store and still find it when we return. Guys SHOULD be able to go to school without a bully beating them up. The point of the song is to try to teach decent guys to realize that a drunk girl can't consent. To teach them that good men don't take advantage of drunk girls. A predator isn't going to give a crap about right or wrong or this heartbreaking song. The good guys need to learn how to stay away from drunk girls, because they aren't able to consent. And girls also need to learn how to be savvy in a world where bad people exist. As long as there is evil in the world, we have to learn how to avoid harm. That's why you try not to forget your wallet, you don't 'walk down a dark alley in a bad neighborhood, you learn how to deal with bullies, and you don't get falling down drunk in public, even though an ideal world would not require such precautions. Fair? It's getting empowered for your own survival and taking care of yourself. Otherwise, you are putting your well being into the hands of every stranger you come across. This isn't about blame, but prevention. When I was in college, we had rules we lived by. We always looked out for each other when we went out, especially to a frat party. If one of us talked to a guy, the rest didn't lose sight of her or forget about her. Bad stuff happens when you get separated from your friends. And we never got sloppy drunk when we were out, because it makes you too vulnerable. Plus getting sick at a party is gross anyway.

She leaves her parents house around midnight Meets her best mate at the shop buy some cheap wine And go to space See the Milky Way Get away from the teenage everyday cliche pressure Absent on absinthe, dancing to bad synths Saturday night ain't about romancing anymore Just you getting lit in the queue to the dance floor Too many blokes are getting heavy When a girl looks unsteady Blisters on your bleeding soles "Here have my boots, I'll walk you home" He walks her straight up to the front door As she stumbles on the floor We all know what happens next A bit of fun turns to regret Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya, no Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya, no Leave it alone mate Leave it alone mate Leave it alone mate Daylight wakes her up the next morning A foreign room where the sheets are blue, and not white No scented candles in sight Just a stranger on his side Says "Cheers love for last night" Got to go forensic Avoid the domestic Get antiseptic And give him the polygraph eyes Turn your head to the side and lie to the real life See this girl, she had a boyfriend His name was Zach and he made her happy But he couldn't understand In his mind she was a slag (A fucking slag!) When she tried to explain what happened She was shouting at him for an hour Crying at the top her lungs "Don't leave me here, yu're the one I love" Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya, no Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya, no Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya She can't even run She can't even walk She slurs when she speaks But you hear what you want when she can't even talk She can't even run She can't even walk She slurs when she speaks But you hear what you want when she can't even talk Can't even talk Can't even talk (Can't even talk) (Can't even talk) Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya, no Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya, no Leave it alone mate She doesn't want to go home with ya, home with ya Leave it alone mate She can't even run Leave it alone mate She can't even walk She slurs when she speaks but you hear what you want when she can't even talk Leave it alone mate She can't even run Leave it alone mate She can't even walk She slurs when she speaks but you hear what you want when she can't even talk

I’ve been this girl, more than once. In my case never when I’ve been in a relationship, but still, self destructive tendencies and depression can lead to a very visible vulnerability. There are many people who will take advantage of that vulnerability, or even facilitate it,. So be aware no matter your gender, if your friend is mashed and talking to someone who either doesn’t care about the state that they’re in, or actively tries to worsen it, that person is dangerous. It’s better to be a cockblock than to see someone you love be taken advantage of.

There just needs to be more people who spread the messages from this song or any songs that Dom has made really. Not just men, bc there are women who are predators as well. I met Dom at Warped and without even listening to his music, I knew he was different and that he was someone I wanted to have in my life and to look up to. What an amazing guy, he was so sweet and funny too!

I know I'm late to finding this song but God does it have a message. As a victim of assault while under the influence many years ago...just because you don't hear NO doesn't mean it's ok, especially if you're literally unconscious and can't even say no. This is another reason why YUNGBLUD has become one of my new favorites...he's not afraid to bring this to light without hiding how ugly it can be.

Dom addresses such amazing and powerful issues in his songs. This man deserves the world. Wow i love him. I am 15 and a few months ago a 26year old family friend touched me inappropriately and sent me disgusting and inappropriate messages. He made me feel like shit. I managed to finally tell a teacher about it at school a few months after and long story short, he lost his job and he will never work with kids again. Be brave to all the girls/boys, women and men who go through this💕💕

I love how YUNGBLUD kinda stripped down, no wild hair, makeup for this song. He just wanted us to follow the seriousness of the song. You should produce a movie/documentary about this issue. Thanks!
