Did the crowd really look and act like they were completely bored out of there minds? Cuz from what I could tell in the video they were just not at all interested in watching or listening to him and I felt so bad for him cuz he’s used to a crowd just going “mental” when he preforms! I actually wish he would’ve done this over here in America cuz I’ve yet to see him in person and it’s killing me! Lol I’m probably one of the few older fans that he has (even though everybody thinks I look like I’m 20) and I’ll probably be even older then I am now when I do finally get to see him in person! Lol

the band arent playing live
@eboethrasher2 жыл бұрын
@@0303940 Untrue. This is the lineup, they play to a backing track that has bass on it as well as some keyboards and backing vocals, but the drums and guitars are entirely live, trust me. This was a medley performance, the drum fill and feedback at the end of the first song, "The Funeral", are proof alone that it is live, it then seamlessly goes into the song "Tissues". On the last song, The Emperor, during the breakdown, there probably is the delayed guitar on the tape because Adam doesn't have his pedal tray in front of him, and the drums there are most assuredly programmed or loops, but that all means that when the drummer comes back in, you can completely hear the difference with his live drums. And then you can watch Adam's playing out of the break as he uses his vibrato bar briefly and of course you hear the guitar at the precise moment doing exactly what he is doing. Not to mention the drum fill and feedback squall at the end of the song. I wonder what you actually even know about live sound reinforcement or performance that would give you the idea that they were not performing live? I'm a musician who has performed live many, many times, both fully live, and to backing tracks, and I can assure you that even though they had backing tracks on tape, many bands do these days. Ones you might even be surprised to hear do. But yeah. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Nothing like them
@eboethrasher2 жыл бұрын
@@Nate_Dogg714 The second song, tissues, uses a sample of Close To Me at the beginning. Dom, the lead singer, is a huge fan of the band. Tissues is almost an homage to mid-80s cure, the bass is super flanged, the drums are obviously based on the Close To Me beat, and the guitar is all simple melodies just like they write. The first song, The Funeral, the chorus is very Cure as well. He has quite a bit of Cure influence. Along with a lot of other people, sure, but he idolizes Robert. I've been a Cure fan since 1987, trust me, I'm familiar enough with every facet of their music, and his, to know that he is influenced by them a lot. He's also influenced by Bowie, a huge influence for the Cure, and he's influenced by bands that were influenced BY the Cure, so he's got it all over the place.
