If ya'll didn't know, this song is based around the "I love you will U marry me" bridge. It was about a guy who proposed to this girl he was in love with (Claire) who said yes. He proposed by spray-painting "I love you, will U marry me" on the bridge that connected two apartment buildings. (Park Hill Apartments) Claire later broke off the engagement because child services would take away her existing children if she had chosen to marry him. This broke his heart. The bridge the message was spray-painted on could be seen perfectly from the nearby train station and became famous for giving a sort of hope and love. This bridge quickly gained traction and poured into the town's culture and music. After the whole engagement break-up, the artist of the bridge was homeless and jobless and asked the company that owned the newly-renovated Park Hill Apartments for help. They said no despite using his artwork to promote their flats. Another thing, the artist was kinda sad they never added Claire's name before the "I love you" part despite it being meant for her. With this knowledge, i really hope you appreciate the song more now that you know what it's talking about! ^^

@@autumncedillo1141 basically a man named Jason (i think) proposed to a woman named Claire( i think) by writing i love you will you marry me on one of the bridges at park hill flats. (Basically a block of flats in a really deprived area so it was seen as a really bad place) they both lived in the flats and she said yes to his proposal, however Claire had kids and cps told her she had too choose between Jason or her kids. This was because Jason had been in the (very flawed) foster care system where child sexu*l abuse is really common , i think he was a victim of it. Sometimes when people are abused, when there older they may become the abuser towards someone else and cps was worried he might do something to Claire’s children i think. Jason said he would never do such things, he had children of his own that had been taken away from him for the same reason. Claire chose her children understandably. A while later Claire was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer and died at age 30. The flats became derelict because they were in such bad condition because of the mass amount of poverty and after a while a company called urban splash decided to redevelop the flats. It was with good intention i guess but now they are like super expensive and have been hipster-fied if you will. The company basically gentrified the proposal by lighting it up with LED lights, it would’ve been nice if thats all they did but they also sold t-shirts with Jason’s proposal on as well as pillow cases, drink bottles etc. All the previous flat owners would never be able to afford to live in the flats now and were basically all kicked to the curb whilst there history and reality of poverty had been romanticised by a bunch of hipsters.

Heard of him because I saw him on Don Broco's Instagram, so I decided to check him out for no real reason, just to check it out, and now I'm OBSESSED! This music is fantastic! I'm LIVING for his accent and songs. The first song I heard was medication and then I stopped listening for a day, as I usually do, but I heard it again on the radio, so I decided to play the song because I really liked it and that lead to checking out the other songs, and this was the 3rd song I listened to, and now I'm watching the video because it looks dope, and I think it's my new favorite song.
