As a whale who will pull for both and even E1 on Yunli, I'm glad you put up one point for Yunli that other people don't say: Yunli doesn't have a dedicated support (Counter type support). Her potential is most likely not reached yet, but that's also a gamble, since we have some characters that did not receive any support (Blade, Argenti) I'm actually excited to see Yunli and counter type improve.

Blade literally has the strongest supports,Bronya, HuoHuo, Tingyun and Sparkle. Take a pick. Next to that he can act as a sub DPS because he is overwhelmingly SP positive.

@@janhoorne6002 By support, I mean specific to his playstyle, which is damaging himself to pump out more DPS. Even Jade couldn't help him in that department and that's the closest thing we got. Huohuo and Sparkle are just good in general. What Sparkle can do for Blade, she can do better for others. Blade isn't weak, but he's certainly not in the upper levels of DPS charts. And with the rise of very specific team comps (Acheron requiring 2 Nihility, FF having a very strict break team, hyper carry dual harmony teams) Blade as a Sub-DPS just isn't as viable anymore. I'm a Blade stan, always have been, but Hoyo forgot about him.

I'd say it depends on your team, Huo² for DoT teams and Lingsha for another certain teams(won't say any leak) , just go for one that you want/need honestly since both of them excel in two different comps.

If you don't have a good sustain go for HuoHuo. DPS wise, new March 7th is pumping out numbers 5 star characters are. To be fair HuoHuo is great with Yunli. Because to play Yunli you want to maximize her DPS related stats such as DMG and CRIT and it will leave her open for CC effects. HuoHuo has a auto cleanse. Yunli also has a double ultimate bar like Argenti, which HuoHuo can take advantage of, since even if Yunli has her ult up and HuoHuo uses her Ult, it will not be wasted. I also think Aventurine is a good sustain to play with Yunli, I mean he is great with Clara, so I would assume he is great with Yunli as well. Does anyone know which "TAUNT" takes priority between Boothill and Yunli?

Boothill. His is a forced 1v1 like other "look at me" type taunts it makes that 1 enemy look at Boot, We need a 5 star march or 5 star Lynx to get a better targeted "look at them please" type taunt.

@@nguyenduythang7598 use knight of purity set, def chest, sphere and rope (even def boots if u have enough spd substats to get to a reasonable speed) and skill every 3 turns or so to have the shield from the fua and the skill both active (a team should never die with a defensive aventurine)

So the two elements right now that I'm most weak at is Wind and Lightning, no good offense for either. Sustain wise, I have a lot but my two big stars are Gallager and Adventurine, and of course no wind because no Houhou. I have other ones, but not well built yet. Getting HouHou at this point rounds out my healers in a way that I feel completes the set, with the exception of reactionary health regen. (Adventurine covers reactionary shields.) But I'm okay to wait on that. Physical wise. I have Clara, Boothill, Argenti, Luca, Hanya and Sushang. I'm so covered when it comes to physical damage characters I'm not even counting Trailblazer's orgional Path as part of my collection count anymore. I just need to build them. I feel like it'd actually be harmful to my overall collection and build progress if I grabbed another physical character at this point, so I will be skipping Yuni and pulling for Hou hou.

It's highly likely that you would be able to grind to 10/12 rewards pretty quick even with F2P units. The last 120 jades would NOT compensate mediocre 5 star pull in a long run. Look for longterm investments to your account and decide properly, considering all current units+2.4 units+2.5 units that we will know in a couple of days. Every team has a total pull cost and some F2P replacements and your every pull need to significantly improve your comfort and clear power, ideally in all three game modes at the same time.

Late reply but only go for Feixiao if you already have the IPC team (aventurine, robin, topaz). She will replace Dr. Ratio as the dps of the team and topaz can be replaced with moze although topaz is better. Robin is necessary for feixiao to have big damage so instant skip if you do not have her.

Lingsha will have to be incredibly valuable since Gallagher as a free 4 star is so busted. She can't be slightly better, she needs to be clearly better to be worth 180 pulls potentially.

I believe they have already introduced new enemies that are moving faster or with tougher weakness bar. This is all to uptrend the counter playstyle like Yunli and Clara because by that time, the enemies will always have the upperhand no matter what you do. Instead of going faster than the enemies, they are encouraging a more defensive playstyle while dishing out the necessary damage.

I have Clara but I'd still pull for Yunli because: 1. I can have control over who to counter and when to counter. 2. Stronger, duh. 3. She's barefeet. Listen--it's because, traditionally in rpg, barefeet character is always perceived as strong or pro. And barefeet character feels light to control.

My line up technically requires neither of these characters but it is still a hard decision for me. On the DPS side I have E1 Firefly, Ratio, Dan Heng IL, Argenti, Acheron, Jingliu, E1 Seele, E6 Qingque and Kafka + Black Swan. A lot of them still need to be built better and certain ones don't fare so well in certain content but the only element I often feel is missing is a proper wind carry so it may be best to wait for the return of Blade or for Feixiao. That said, I have been pulling for people since launch and have not gotten a single Clara even though I've always wanted a counter style of FUA team. Obviously that makes Yunli a tempting pull as well. Then again, I could simply wait. It may take some time but eventually I am bound to get my missing Standard Banner characters as well and even if Yunli is stronger, I know Clara will still perform perfectly fine. On the Sustain side I have E2S1 Fu Xuan, Aventurine, Luocha, E2 Gepard and E4 Gallagher. It's not like I am lacking anything specific here. Actually I also barely use Luocha anymore since getting Aventurine. There are very few situations where healing is preferred over shielding and he provides more value to my FUA team. That said, I also have the prime candidates that want Huohuo on their team like Argenti or the DOT duo. So I am certain she'd be a really good pull as well for me.

I have E1 Clara and I like the counter playstyle, I just don’t like Clara (probably lingering resentment for those 50/50 losses, haha). So I haven’t built her and was considering Yunli. But Huohuo is more important to me right now, mostly for my Kafka/BS team, so maybe I’ll consider Yunli on her rerun. And while Lingsha might end up being a stronger healer (I haven’t been following the leaks closely so I don’t know). But I don’t think she’ll provide the kind of utility to DOT teams that Huohuo can.

For my account, i focus on building 2 teams - FF/HMC/RM/Gal - Acheron/Pela/Guinaifen/Aventurine Considering i have only 1 5-star sustain character (Aventurine) even though my Gallagher is E6, I’m not sure how he’s gonna maintain his sustain role in long term. Lingsha vs Huohuo For Lingsha, if i pull for her it would make the Firefly team reach its peak performance and feels complete but then is it necessary? Can i keep using Gallagher instead? For huohuo, the reason is just that i don’t have any 5-star abundance unit and maybe she’s great if i’m building new team like Dot team (i personally like its mechanic but i don’t even have kafka or blackswan) Finally it leads to the last choice to skip them all and pull for Jiaoqiu because he is an obvious upgrade to my Acheron team (replace Guinaifen) and open room for any future Dot team which i really like.

Huo Huo is amazing but the one thing that sucks is she has no emergency healing. Besides that I love her so much and am glad I pulled for her before. Cant speak to Yunli but she looks great, her banner looks great, her animations are cool, great voice, and I dont have Clara. I want to add though, that if you need a sustain and arent loving Huo Huo, you are going to want to wait a little bit for more details on Lingsha.

I joined like a month ago played way to much and am TB 53. Only 5 stars I have are Gepard and Himeko, my main team rn is Gepard/Qinqque/Tingyun/Lynx. Shld i get Huohuo or Yunli, when I don't have a 5 star character banner DPS or healer? Any help appreciated :)

honestly, if you like qingque a lot you could wait for sparkle, and your should try to remove gepard from your team, and invest heavily on lynx

we need more f2p destruction light cones. I already had to take the herta shop lc from Jingliu and put it on Firefly. Now it's the best f2p lc for Yunli as well? Ugh.

Save up your Undying Starlight for Clara signature lightcone it is on par with On the Fall of an Aeon S5 for the most part if you keep the passive up by getting hit or defeating an enemy which Yunli has similar kit to Clara so she can use it perfectly. Battlepass destruction lightcone can be good as well but obviously not f2p. It is worth 10 dollars though since it has same base atk as Aeon as well.

Yunli is a hard pass, she can shine but it’ll never really compete with the teams HuoHuo are in.

I backed at kafka banner rerun and get as f2p kafka,black swan,sparkle,robin,acheron e1 + s1,firefly,ruan mei Everyone hate bailu but i get e1 and 4 star bailu lightcone I closed all memory of chaos.Maybe it is time for picking a lot of sustains like huo huo and lingsha,i couldnt get fu .I dont like adventurine

Go get Sparkle first, then Keep using 4 stars characters while you save up jades a lot again for acheron is a better decision if I am you

If you don’t already have a decent pool of limited 5* healers, Huohuo is easily the better choice. If you already have a ton of limited 5* healers and are missing out on physical damage units, Yunli is a good choice. If your overall roster is not lacking in options and you are just looking at Yunli vs Huohuo on their own merits, Huohuo is the better option as she is arguably the current best healer in the game.

This is a genuine question, but is the whole “you need 2 limited 5 star sustains” actually true? I’m mainly asking because I only have one (Aventurine) and was thinking of maybe pulling Huohuo but a lot of people say Gallagher is great and Lynx can be good so I was wondering if picking her up is necessary. My other reason for asking is because I want Jiaoqiu for my Acheron team and can only get enough pulls to guarantee one of them.

It is helpful, but personally I think that if you're reasonably comfy with your current sustain it's definitely the easiest category to put off pulling until you really like a character. If you can build your Gallagher or Lynx and make it work, especially already having Aventurine, you're good.

@@leasting It’s hard to gauge how comfy I am considering I haven’t got a lot of characters built but I’m trying to get some decent builds for them going and my poorly built Gallagher gets through at least MoC 10 consistently so he already feels like he can take me far. I’ll probably skip Huohuo then and see if I can build them before Lingsha comes out and see if I really do need the help. Thanks for helping me with a reply.

huohuo is mid at sustaining and buffing. skip for Lingsha. If you are not getting Yunli, you probably dont want huohuo either.
