1:58 Ram was the one who killed Subaru here. Hence the line "Sister is too kind." Ram knew what Rem would do, and didn't like the fact that Rem was dragging it out, so she mercy-killed Subaru with a blade of wind. This is shown in the same episode later on when Ram is grieving over Rem and she slices his cheek with a blade of wind, he realizes it was the same magic that killed him. Rem can't perform wind magic.

Nah Emilia doesn't have any confirmed kills. She's working on unfreezing the elves, the family in frozen bond isn't confirmed (heard somewhere they canonically didn't die?) and that's basically it. I assume that you have already seen season 2 of Re:Zero and therefore the entire arc 4. If not, don't read more. Remember that at the meeting in Shadow Garden, some witches and especially Satella didn't want Subaru to suffer and wanted him to value his life and love himself more. It's pretty clear at this point, but I think that's one of the main themes of Re:Zero: Subaru learning to love and care for himself while working towards a better future for everyone, anyway if you're curious one of the "If" Subaru completely abuses his authority/power and it doesn't end very well.

@quesitomalito9565 Yes, I'm all caught up, so i understand the message, and a Subaru who abuses RBD is definitely not a desirable outcome. I'm just thinking from the perspective of living through it. This man has suffered fates that no living thing should ever have to suffer. Slow, torturous, painful, and traumatic deaths that are nightmare fuel if you imagine going through them yourself. Having a suicide pill would at least spare him from some of the intensity of the trauma, and only in the cases that he could actually swallow it in time.

Spoilers for Arcs 5,6 and 7 death count. Do not read if anime only. Yeah. He dies so much more in arcs 6 and 7. Arc 6 is more than half of his total deaths and more than arcs 1-5 combined.Arc 7 is literally uncountable after the 10 second loop and the gladiator island. Arc 5 is the odd one out in Subaru deaths. Only 3 at the beginning of the conflict. Subaru then beats the rest of the arc with 0 deaths. Good for Subaru because of his development in season 2. Too bad he died a lot more thanks to the difficulty of arcs 6 and 7.
