How much better is a 6.0 to a 5.3 is it a big difference? Or should I get a 5.3 instead

Dependent on your goals with the engine/car. 5.3 is small displacement so that's why most just boost them as they're not good motors for NA. 6.0 is 4 inch bore so it can accept ls3 heads and they're just better for NA stuff.

All gen 3&4 3/4 tons. Gen 3 Silverado SS and some Escalades got 6.0s.
