You problemly are done with the power steering pump but i looked it up and you can get a threaded vent plug from Grainger or hydroma has vent plugs been in similar situations just trying to help

Have you run into transmission code issues? Mines pulling a p0785 3-2 shift solenoid code, I've heard people having issues with pins being in the wrong spot.

They say "re use of content". And that's all they can tell me. I assume it was the KZbin shorts I was posting as they weren't my own.

Did you run a truck stand a loan harness?
@richardeddings72594 күн бұрын
I've compared the Silverado map sensor to the Camaro map sensor. The plugs look identical. Will the computer throw a code being it's not the right one did you use a Silverado standalone harness and computer?
@krustyclassicsgarage4 күн бұрын
The sensors mount different. The truck MAP sensor won't work on a car intake but they're the same sensor and read the same way. The car MAP sensor has 1 clip that mounts it and the truck MAP has 2.

This whole series has me hyped and convinced to swap my 71 Camaro. Should be a plug and play deal after watching most of this. I think ill ahorten my current driveline and hopefully avoid that U joint issue. Pretty pumped for all this information so thabk you for putting it all out here for us
@krustyclassicsgarage4 күн бұрын
Driveline is dependent on quite a few factors. And your u joint should be fine if your keeping your stock driveshaft and just have to get it shortened.

Unless your 6.0 will be making 700hp to the tire itll be fine.

I just finished power tour in my LQ9/80e swapped Nova, 2800+ miles round trip. Fuel pump swap needed in route and had an "oil pan incident" but it ran great and got 20-24mpg highway. It took me 4-5 months but i did a lot more than just the swap. Floors, AC, Steering, hydroboost, door and window seals, proper mounted seats, insulation ect. I bought an Escalade and parted that thing out to help recover costs and it made a huge difference in the bottom line for my build, also the sale of the SBC but not everyone starts with a decent engine to recover that $1200. I watched your first gen Camaro swap videos and they were a help. Thanks for the videos, ill keep watching.

@sixesand9s56 ya. He had me stressing lol. Dry rotted tires and 20+yr old brakes with a sponge brake pedal lol. But I never heard from him so I assume he made it. I wasn't worried about it much because I knew it ran great.

Look at Hoovies latest video. His Maserati engines are junk. Offer to do a LS swap for him. Or buy junk Maseratis and convert. Seams like you got this swap deal down Pat. Busted Maseratis are cheap. Cool car Swapwd out.

Do you find these engine mounts work better than the plates that have multiple bolting points and bolt stock clam shell to ?
@krustyclassicsgarage10 күн бұрын
Yes. Easier to adjust when bolted to the engine and in the car. Swap plates you have to unbolt the motor mounts and move them. These also give you smaller adjustments if needed.
