Yuriko is by far my favorite commander. One of the cheapest entry level decks to get into cEdh. If you remove 5 or so cards (thoracle combo) you will have a “friendly” edh deck.
@sealwithawkwardness3951 Жыл бұрын
“Friendly” 😂 they will target the heck out of you if you bring Yuriko. My friends know the power and the inevitable damage Yuriko can dish out, and will always target me even though I made it to be “not that type of deck”

I love the p-values for statistical significance, if it ever exceeds 0.05 we have to accept the win rates are equal due to variance and sample size. Mons doing god's work using actual stats and not pleb trend presentations. Looking forward to how he vets and curates cEDH data moving forward, hoping he'll avoid cooked datasets.

One conclusion im seeing from watching many different channels is that pilot skill is a way more important factor. Like the prossh deck for example… the best cEDH players seem to hit those top spots and are frequently testing new tech and decklists. Lastest aatraxa i saw recently wasnt on food chain, and played a brithing pod/ broodlord wincon! Yuriko especially seems to be a underwhelming results wise… but a strat that some pilots have mastered
@cedhtv Жыл бұрын
I do agree. I am collecting data on players to. So eventually I can have the best cEDh players list and such. But then we can also see how much card mathers as well as how much player matters.

Very good video: Magic with stadistic is always a beautiful combination... specially in a CEDH context. And about this commander: I'm still playing Yuriko and I prefer a turbo Doomsday/ad nauseam version. "Yuriko Burn" is a little slow and the high mana cost cards are generally bad against turbo decks.
@DoubleBeast Жыл бұрын
I would really love to see a breakdown of Malcolm/Tymna in the future, once people have had enough time to play with Beseech the Mirror (for Doomsday). I think Malcolm & Tymna make themselves the premier UBx midrange Naus/Necropotence deck, similar to how Rograkh makes RogSi the premier UBx turbo Naus/Necro deck.

That can happen! I can start collecting data for them.

Thank you for this video! :D Do you have an insight of how many 1 cmc enabler the succesfull (high win rate) decks play in comparison to the ones with lower winrate? As you said those creatures are interchangeable but the quantity would be interesting to see.

Sorry no. I didn't look into that. Currently it is a bit hard to find that out with my method. I do want to know that answer myself. But bigger like how many lands is the best answer. But I don't have a good method for it jet.

I'm very disappointed that you didn't show data for the following cards: Ad Naus Rhystic Thassa's Oracle Sol Ring When you make one of these videos, do you need to count how many decks play the card in question by opening up every deck list one at a time? Or is there somewhere on the website that simply shows you the inclusion rate and winrate for you?
@WolfLink64 Жыл бұрын
A lot of the data seemed to suggest that creature cards aren't good, based on a 90ish% inclusion rate for most of them and a lower than the average winrate for almost all of them. So to me that suggests there are a few turbo lists that are overperforming? But you never showed Ad Naus or Peer Into the Abyss or Dramatic Reversal or anything like that to support that. I did comb through all 79 decklists just now and found only one appearance of Ad Naus by just using ctrl+F on every page though.
@cedhtv Жыл бұрын
1) Sorry for now showing those. All of those are more or less always played so I moved past them ignoring them a bit as I thought they woulden't have an intresting value to look at. They mostly don't. 2) I have to look at all decklist. But I have methods that look at them fast. Like I personally don't have to sit and count cards. There would be errors if I did that mannuly. But my computer counts how many sol rings there are in each deck for example. Or more like this. It looks at all decklist for the word sol ring. Then it looks at the average winrate on all of the lists that have sol ring in there. And ignore all decks that don't have sol ring.

I am not a Yuriko player myself at heart. I have been thinking about asking in my discord what cards peple want to se a focus on. Mostly it is me looking arround at cards that stick out. And try and draw conclusions from that. But I think a future method will be me asking in my discord I think. Or something like that. Might ask in the video. "Like next video we will look at Gitrog. Write what cards you want to se details on." Something like that.
@WolfLink64 Жыл бұрын
Totally understandable. But as a Yuriko main I know that Sol Ring and Rhystic Study are not auto includes and I was curious about the stats, like with Mystic Remora. Ad Nauseam is a weird one because the idea is to play "sneaky farm" and make the table assume you're a control deck and then win as quickly as possible, and if you fail then you just use your Yuriko as a Tymna to stay in the game. And Thassa's Oracle is an auto include I think, idk why I wrote that one down in my original comment.
@addictedtomints9433 Жыл бұрын
I wish these statistics showed how often they are played too. Because i have seen entire tournaments where a card won't ever be played.

First: I dont think that statistics for single cards matter a lot when the cards are borderline playable, as luck or meta can be a factor. Sadly, one thing that skewed the data for some of the weirder cards is that one of my fellow yuriko pilots has been caught shuffle cheating, which obviously made their results better in the past.Thirdly, you are blind and didn't see an oracle with the new art it was really funny. Fifth. People play jin Titanias in reanimated builds, but those have not quite been broken yet, thus the low win rate. Also, with cage being the best card in the meta now, I think we have to wait for that version to be good. Sixth: GREAT VIDEO, I love that you try to statistically analyse. While I said that they might not be good for borderline playable cards, some cards can indicate that the pilot did not think deeply enough, thus might include other bad cards, and those cumulative bad cards make it so that their win rate go through the floor, as seen in arcane adaptation
