@@premo2k781 The Standard Dimension arc was the best first arc in all of the series imo. It was lighthearted at first but as soon as they introduced the other summoning methods, and the Miami Tournament began, it ramped up to new heights. The Synchro Dimension wasn't too bad, it just ran too long and the Lancers didn't do too much Lancer stuff. Jack Atlas was the star tho and it had many awesome duels. XYZ Dimension had so much potential but it was too short. Fusion Dimension was too rushed, but I did like the all-out duel against ZARC even if he was busted and a boring villain. Epilogue was super dissapointing. Although I didn't mind how the Yuya vs Reiji Round 3 ended, as it WAS an Action Duel. The ending was very wtf tho

5Ds was ahead of it's time back in 2009. Like, duel on a motorbike in today's anime is nothing weird but back in 2009 it was a weird concept and people back then just laughed and mocked it. But after episode 1 aired, everyone was like, "Wait, it's kinda cool. Duel on a motorbike. Count me in!" and the rest is history.

Yusei's character arc was really underrated and this summoning is the best for me because of what it represents. Contrary to popular belief, Yusei was deeply flawned person. He tried to take on the problems alone which stems of his survivor guilt and shame he felt like because of his father creating Momentum which caused Zero Reverse and killed so many people. Because of that tragedy, Yusei didn't think he deserved to live. He constantly denied his own self worth. Which his ace, Stardust Dragon represents. Stardust's effect to sacrifice himself to protect other cards from being destroyed is mirror image to Yusei's self sacrificing nature. We see hints of that Yusei early in 5D's. He tried isolate his friends and take on Dark Signers by himself. He dueled Kiryu and used Stardust to brute himself to victory, only for Kiryu to defeat him and spare his life on a whim. After reflecting on his actions, in their rematch, Yusei realized that he was presumptuous enough to think he could've saved Kiryu by sacrificing himself three years prior. Yusei realized that only unity between friends can save another. Signer Marks resonate with his resolve and Majestic Star is created. A monster that eventually made them reconcile as Kiryu stopped holding a grudge against Yusei. Yusei then achieves Accel Synchro by his own power and it was a step in the right direction as its effect, while protecting cards from being destroyed, also allows him to remain on the field unlike Stardust. It can also protect you from attack and can become more powerful based on other tuners you have. But in order to prevent the Mechlord Genocide future, another alternative was necessary. Shooting Quasar Dragon represents collective evolution of Team 5D's as a whole as the monster was summoned not by Yusei's Stardust, but by *all other* Signer Dragons of his friends. The design itself is distinguished that it doesn't seem inspired by Stardust that much. Its effect to negate effect of god-like Timelords symbolizes Team 5D's resolve to overcome any odds against them and floating into Shooting Star represents Yusei's friends still helping him even when they're not with him.
