Cut-Rate Commander - Episode 14 - Featuring Yusri, Fortune's Flame
Modern Horizons 2 just dropped and our first commander for this set will be none other than the efreet gambler himself - Yusri, Fortune's Flame.
Yusri will be helming a cantrips matter build, focused less on coin flips and more on using Yusri as a repeatable means of generating card advantage. With him, we can more easily dig deeper into our decks, find our cantrip payoffs, and even dig for more cantrips if we happen to fail to draw into them naturally - with the very rare chance of just casting omniscience for free (or blasting ourselves in the face for 10).

Happy to here it but you may want to look at some of the newer cantrips released after this video was dropped - there have been some pretty good ones since then.

Another amazing deck tech! I was fully expecting a coin flip synergy, but this is way better. Reminds me of the Vega deck you posted a while back. Anywho, my vote goes towards Sythis, or Enchantment Tatyova as I refer to her. Still shooting for a Grist Insect tribal deck, as his price has more than halved.

Carth the Lion seems interesting, as Superfriends is generally a playstyle that is reserved for those with heavier pockets. I'd love to see your interpretation.

Congrats on 450, hope you get to hit 500 soon! My vote is for Rokiric, seems like the most open-ended of the bunch and I'd like to see what direction you take it in.

Up till you pointed out the probabilities, I never quite realized how strong Yusri's ability is! Great video as always, and as for the vote. . . Carth the Lion has mine! It seems like an interesting budget challenge, but I'm sure you will pull through with your pride on the line~

It was interesting seeing Yusri outside an all in coinflip strategy, but you didn’t disappoint. I would prefer him as an all in coinflip commander, but I enjoyed your approach nonetheless! As for the next deck, I’d love to se Carth the Lion. I’m curious to see what walkers will you prioritise at budget. Best of luck, hope to hear/see from you soon!

Very fun, gambly deck, cantrips is one of my favorite archetypes. All 3 options in the lineup are very interesting and I hope they all make it into a deck eventually. My vote though goes for Sythis, her strategy may be predictable, but i remember that time when the argothian enchantress deck was nigh unstoppable, so i'm curios if this cut rate commander can be as effective. Just getting back into commander and I'm eating up all of your videos, by far best lists I've seen and plenty cool decks in grixis color which are my favorite. This list in particular hits home as it's really close to the johnny izzet decks I used to play in ravnica standard, as such I was wondering, do you do updates on some old videos once some time has gone by? Being from 2021 I'm thinking any cheap goodness that might've come out in the meantime

It's gambling time! Sweet build as always. Can't wait to test it out whenever I can. My vote goes for Carth The Lion, due to his role in Dakkon Blackblade's lore. Day 7 of waiting for the Garth One-Eye video. I wonder what will happen with his price, given the current market situation...
