I recommend once you get to lvl 2 to start using the R1 ability when u can it does actually decent damage. I like to leave yuta as support for the beginning as my teammate carries by dealing most damage, then once rika is out I finish the game

Yuta can actually get Rika faster by doing HP damage. So using the sword powerup, you can actually get Rika out from even just 1 stock.

i know this is off topic but does anyone know how to set up a joint attack? i cant tell if theres a certain attack that i need to press to set it up or if i need to time the D pad communication at the right but they just wont happen

You can also build Rika gauge from landing C1 while C2 is active in level 1 and from all attacks while charged at level 2+. This means that if you’re playing really well you can get Rika out with only one death or even zero but usually you’re gonna need at least one. I’m still learning but I honestly believe this character’s strength lies in his ability to put the opponent in a tech state mindgame and the punish capabilities of his down circle. I love playing this character but I honestly think he’s ass overall. I want the auto break from guard to go away. Blocking attacks is a waste of Rika gauge which is dumb. Sometimes I just want to block and punish and he loses that.

So if Yuta also builds Rika as he gets hit doesn’t that mean that even if you wanted to take him out first, you would only be getting him to Rika faster? I get the gameplay is mid but he actively controls what his opponents can and can’t do. You would want to kill Yuta to prevent Rika but he builds her from taking hits. So then you want to take his ally out but that also brings Rika. Kinda a lose/lose if Rika is the win condition.

Ngl he doesn't have super armor on any of his attack while every other melee fighter does + megumi n sukuna. There's no advantage to yuta cuz we can't use Rika like megumi's shikigami and she is slow asl not to mention u cant keep her out longer by landing attacks like megumi

I was playing with him today number 1 r2 + r1 = great damage!!! Do not depend on Rika!!!! Yuta can stack damage with r1 which will kill the enemy at level 2 r1 is doing crazy damage but you have to use it in conjunction with r2 get to level 3 and use r2 + r1 = auto kills WITHOUT RIKA!’

Personally i believe we need another yuta one from the culling game or even later so he can actually have a move set. For example thin ice breaker and cursed speech and a domain expansion although this would take multiple years into the games life span to have this happen.

Its really funny to me when people pretend this game is actually competitive. The skill ceiling is in the floor. Whether or not you win is solely based on if your combos are interrupted or if your teammate ganks for you. Thats it, thats the whole entire game.
